The Status and Future of Software Component Technology

The emerging of software component technology has lifted the curtain on the changing of software developing mode from workshop to industry manufacturing.This paper summarizes the software component technology.Firstly,by analyzing the object-oriented technology,the paper explains the technology background and motivation of the developing of software component technology.Then,the paper illuminates the software component technology,and describes the main distributed component technology:Enterprise JavaBeans,CORBA Component Model,COM/DCOM/COM +and.NET Assembly,Web Services-- - the hotspot technology of today,and the two component-oriented programming language:Java and C#are also included.Lastly,the paper introduces the concept of Business Component ,and points out that as the future of the software component technology,it is the hope of the realization of software developing mode becoming industry manufacturing.
