Abstract:A two-stage approach of integrated parameter identification and state estimation are presented for linear discrete time-invariant stochastic dynamical systems. First, the ARMAX model representation of state-space model of the dynamical systems is given, and parameter estimation can be obtained via ARMAX model identification. Second, using the eigensystem realization algorithm(ERA), the steady-state optimal Kalman gain estimation is given and the state estimation is then obtained. Finally, a simulation example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
