三种缺陷态光子晶体的比较研究

摘    要:利用光学传输矩阵法对3种基于均匀结构光子晶体的一维缺陷态光子晶体进行了比较研究.研究发现,对于每种结构,当缺陷介质层厚度变大时,缺陷模中心波长向长波区移动,且缺陷模式的带宽随之增加,当缺陷层介质厚度增加到一定数值时会出现多个缺陷模.对于缺陷层两侧为高折射率介质层的结构一和结构三,缺陷模波长与缺陷层厚度呈非线性比例增加关系;对于缺陷层两侧为低折射率介质层的结构二,缺陷模波长与缺陷层厚度呈线性比例增加关系.对于结构一和结构三,在特定的中间缺陷层厚度时光子禁带区内的缺陷模会消失,而对于结构二,禁带区域内始终存在缺陷模式.

Abstract:Comparative studies of three kinds of 1-D photonic crystals with defects by the optical transmission matrix method were presented. Defect modes move towards the long wavelength region with the increase of the thickness of the center defect layer, and the bandwidth of the defect mode increases as it goes away from the center of the photonic bandgap. Thin defect layer leads to only one defect mode in the photonic bandgap. But two or more defect modes appear for thick defect layer. The central wavelength of the defect mode increases linearly with the thickness of the defect layer for structure 2 with the defect layer surrounded by low refractive index materials, but nonlinearly for structure 1 and structure 3 with the defect layer surrounded by high refractive index materials. The defect mode disappears in the bandgap for structure 1 and structure 3 under certain thickness of the defect layer, but always exists for structure 2.
