Abstract:In Linxing gasifled, Ordos Basin, most gas wells are generally characterized by low pressure and production rate, and poorliquid-carrying capacity. Most of them are directional wells with shallower well depth and hole deviation angle between 20° and 30° .Many existing critical liquid-carrying flow rate models are poor adaptable to this field. So, on the basis of Turner, Li Min, and WangYizhong models, another model to calculate the critical liquid-carrying flow rate available for vertical and directional wells in Linxinggasfield was established by introducing critical liquid-carrying velocity coefficient β, optimizing and correcting the coefficient β bymeans of optimization algorithm, and combining with measured liquid-loading data. Then, the model was applied to identify liquidloading in 15 wells. Results show that (1) for this model, the correction coefficient β is respectively 2.7 and 3.6 for the vertical and directionalwells in Linxing gasfield;and (2) with accuracy of 93.3 %, the model presents better prediction on the liquid loading in thesegas wells .
