A cause of the motion of arcs in the presence of a magnetic field |

| Abstract: | A cause of the retrograde motion of arcs in the magnetic field is explained by the gyromotion of ions which are produced in the arc column. It is shown that the mechanism is consistent with fundamental aspects of the retrograde motion. |
