Engineering Design and Practice of Foundation Bed Leveling for Cylinders

An in situ engineering case is introduced to expound the design and the working procedure for leveling the foundation bed on which a cylinder-supported pier will be sit.The design can be called as an ingenious combination of the straight steel-rails being laid on sea bed and the scraper leveling the foundation bed for cylinders.As it is shown in the engineering case,the design and the in situ working procedure have their advantages such as the reduction of foundation bed area being leveled,the high effectiveness, and the economical engineering cost,etc.The favourable evidences are provided in the case for underwater cylinder foundation bed leveling.
