Selection of Common Valves in Chemical Engineering Design

Selection of valves was very important in chemical engineering design. If valves are selected scientifically, the production safety could be insured effectively and the construction expense could also be reduced to a considerable extent. This paper introduced the structure and application of various common valves including gate valve, globe valve, ball valve, throttle valve, butterfly valve, diaphragm valve, plug valve and check valve. The selection of the common valves was also introduced and commented.
