The paper explains the causes for high temperature in high voltage switchgear, introduces and contrasts the infrared on-line temperature detecting system, the fiber on-line temperature detecting system as well as the wireless on-line temperature detecting system from its composition, theories and characteristics, and finally illustrates the features of each system.
