试论跨文化语境下的大学英语教学

语言是文化的载体，是文化的主要表现形式。语言和文化相互依存。不可分割。英语教学是语言教学，当然离不开文化教育。因此。在英语教学中，教师在训练和提高学生语言水平的同时，应有意识地注重培养学生用英语进行跨文化交际的能力。教师应注意英汉两种语言文化中常见的差异，对中国学生常犯的跨文化交际方面的错误及其原因进行教学指导。这对提高英语教学质量至关重要。

A Brief Comment on the Intercultural Communication in College English Teaching

Language is the carrier of culture. It is the main form to express culture. Language and culture should never be separated from each other. English teaching is a language teaching which cannot be separated from culture. Therefore, in English teaching, teachers should not only train and improve the students＇language skill, but also cultivate their ability for cross-cultural communication in English. Teachers should know the com- mon differences between Chinese and English. They should help the Chinese learners to be aware of the mistakes and causative factors in this aspect. It is of great importance to improve the quality of English teaching.
