Immediate curative effect of the method of clamping wrist correction in the treatment of 20 cases of external humeral epicondylitis

Objective To observe the immediate curative effect of the method of clamping wrist correction in the treatment of external humeral epicondylitis.Methods A total of 40 patients with external humeral epicondylitis admitted in Peking university Shougang hospital from August 2018 to August 2020 were selected and divided into treatment group(treated with the method of clamping wrist correction)and control group(treated with the method of routine tendon management around the elbow joint)by random number table method,with 20 cases in each group.The VAS score and range of motion of elbow joint before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results Before treatment,there was no significant difference in VAS score between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment,VAS scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and that in the treatment group was lower than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in extension and flexion range of motion of elbow joint between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment,extension and flexion range of motion of elbow joint of the two groups were improved compared with before treatment,and those in the treatment group were better than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Clamping wrist correction method can reduce the pain degree of elbow joint and improve the range of motion of elbow joint.Its effect is better than that of the routine tendon management around the elbow joint.
