ethods for calculating loan interest of a project are of great importance to evaluate its economic effectiveness. Two of them are compared both academically and economically.A numerical example is used to present advantages of the method proposed by the National Planning Committee and the Construction Ministry. It is suggested that the method and parameters for ecnomic evaluation of a construction project in petroleum industry proposed by the China National Petroleum Corporation should be revised.
