Review and Analysis on Institutional Management for Global Ports

The paper gives a complete picture of present institutional structures existing in the global port management systems. It states that the main task of ports institutional restructuring. It also identifies some limitations in the process of port regulation reform that need to be improved in order to suit competition and globalization. Furthermore, this paper proposes some corresponding solution countermeasures. The paper concludes that despite the lack of full consideration of whole transport chain and shortage of accompanying measures, port regulation reform makes ports more commercial and efficient, but more pro-actions need to be done by the regulator to respond to competitive environment.
