Abstract:The formula of double axial surface cracks′ stress intensity factors considering the influencing factors was proposed based on the analysis of previous researches on interactions of arbitrarily distributed multiple cracks in plate and stress intensity factors calculation of single axial surface cracks in thick walled cylinders.According to finite element method,stress intensity factors of double axial surface cracks in thick walled cylinders were calculated in different situations and variation of them due to variation of thick cylinders thickness ratio,cracks′ depth ratio and angular between double axial surface cracks were analyzed.The results show that all influencing factors considered in the formula of double axial surface cracks′ stress intensity factors have different effects and the stress intensity factors formula of double axial surface cracks in thick-walled cylinder is reasonable.The study work in this article has important reference value for accurate calculation of crack growth rate to double cracks in thick walled cylinders of structures and reasonable safety evaluation of structures with thick-walled cylinder.
