Abstract:This paper proposes a triple redundant safety system for steam turbine.The safety system has three independent electro-hyduaulic over-speed protection channels,and the output pressures are processed by a two out of three hydraulic voter.The voting result is then amplified by a plate-type hydraulic valve,which is of high response and reliability.Finally this amplified hydraulic signal is used to control the rapid-action-stop valve in the steam admission port of the turbine.3figs.,2refs.
