早熟优质抗裂西瓜新品种锦辉的选育

锦辉是开封市蔬菜研究所于2003年以自育自交系W8作母本、早-10作父本配制而成的早熟、优质、高产杂交一代西瓜品种。植株生长健壮，易坐果。全生育期80d左右，果实发育期26～28d。果实圆球形，果皮墨绿覆黑色暗条带，有果粉；皮厚1．1cm，韧性大，耐贮运；瓜瓤红色，瓤质细嫩，口感酥脆，中心可溶性固形物12．5％左右，边部10％；单果质量6～8kg，普通栽培667m2产量3500—4000kg。适应性广，全国大部分地区保护地和露地均可种植。

An Early Maturing Watermelon Cultivar ＂Jinhui＂

Jinhui is a new watermelon F1 hybrid variety developed by crossing inbred line W8 as female parent and inbred line Zhao 10 as female parent. It is developed by Kaifeng Vegetable Research Institute in 2003. It is an early mature cuhivar with high quality and high yield. The plant is strong and sets fruits easily. It is suitable for cultivation in open field and protected production in most areas of China. The whole growing period is about 80 days and the fruit developing period is 26-28 days. The fruit is round with green skin,dark green stripes and heavy wax. The rind is about 1.1 cm thick and durable. The average fruit weight is 6-8 kg. The flesh is red ,tender and crispy. The center soluble solid content is about 12.5%. The yield on 667 m2 is 3 500-4 000 kg.
