| Abstract: | The development of laser weaPOns in the U.S.A. is reviewed in this paper with the fomulation and relevant techniques of the weapons described, and a typical example of developing laser weapons of the U.S. naVy is given. Then the application perspective and the problems involved in the laser weapons for theatre anti-missile and tactical air defence in the U.S.A. are analyzed. Finally, some proposals for developing high-power laser weapons in China are presented. |
