摘    要:介绍了目前高速长距离光纤通信中常用的电光调制器的原理、结构和应用.目前半导体调制器的研究日趋成熟,性能不断改善.有机聚合物电光调制器被公认为是最具潜力的高速光通信调制器,正成为人们关注的焦点.

Abstract:The main electro--optic modulators in the high speed long distance optical fiber communication are introduced, their principle, construction and application are described. The researches in semiconductor modulator are making great progress. The organic poly- mer electro--optic modulator is considered as the most potential modulator in the high speed optical fiber communication, and is being the focus of people's attention.
