| Abstract: | This paper presents a fractal range based image coding approach which is developed from block based ones. Experimental results show that compared to block based fractal image coding, the compression ratio can be nearly doubled and the computation time decreases greatly by using range based ones, whereas PSNR is only reduced slightly. |
