Geomechanical estimate of mining conditions at the makmal gold deposit

The paper describes an estimate of the rock stress-strain state for the current mining conditions at the Makmal Gold Deposit. The rock stability in walls of open-mined chambers, in rock projections and in a dividing pillar is determined. The authors have made recommendations to backfill the mined-out space with overburden rocks and to recover pillars with the one-stage block caving technique.
