| Abstract: | There are many ways to promote students＇ linguistic competence on English and appreciating original English film is one of the most important ways for students to improve their linguistic competence.Through analyzing the functions of appreciating original English film,the paper indicates that appreciating original English film is greatly important to promote linguistic competence. |
