Abstract:In this paper nanometer nickel ultrafine particles were prepared by arc plasma method and were used.in nitrobenzene catalytic hydrogenation. The effect of some factors,such as reaction temperature,hydrogen pressure and particle size,on the conversion were studied.The reaction mixture was analyzed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and gas chromatography.It is shown that nanometer nickel has a good activity and selectivity to the hydrogenation of nitrobenzene,and its selectivity and thermal stability are better than that of Raney Ni.
