Abstract:To investigate the actual effect of the biological ecological process in the treatment of rural domestic sewage, a new ecological filter was built and the seasonal characteristics of the removal of organic matter, nutrients and particulate matter by this system was analyzed. The results showed that, the average removal rate of COD, TN, NH3-N, TP, and SS in the sewage throughout the year was 83.09%, 39.35%, 69.95%, 44.08%,91.10%, respectively. Except winter, the effluent SS content of the system met the first level B standard of GB 18918-2002. For the end of spring and in summer and autumn, the system effluent COD met the second emission standard of GB 18918-2002. In the combined system, compared with the ecological filter, the contribution of the anaerobic reactor was greater to the removal of COD, TP and SS, worse to the removal of NH3-N and a little greater to the removal of TN. The study can provide technique basis for the optimal design and application of ecological filter.
