汉族家族与乡里制度关系探析--兼与西南少数民族地区比较

在漫长的封建社会,封建国家由于其统治能力和地方财力的限制,在基层社会的管理上,有“皇权不下县”的传统。在广大汉族地区,县以下的治理则是建立自治型的乡里制度。乡里制度本质上是一种以乡绅为骨干的家族治理机制。由于民族地区的政治统治实行土官、土司制度,民族地区的乡村社区治理与汉族的乡里制度各有特色,互相映衬。

An Inquiry into the Relationship between Clan of Han Nationality and the System of Home Town

In the long period of feudal society,there was a practice of imperial power being never extended to the rural area for the limitation of ruling capability and local financial resource.In the extensive Han nationality regions,the governance of districts under county-level depended on the village autonomy system.The village system was essentially a clan-governance mechanism that was led by the country gentleman.Because the region where minority nationality lived was ruled by chieftain system,it is characteristic compared with the village system in Han nationality region.
