摘    要:字符识别在车牌识别中的作用不可或缺,最简便的识别方式为模版匹配法。本文提出改进的模板匹配法,通过细化的字符子库,结合相关匹配算法,提升识别效果,克服了传统模版匹配无法识别残缺字符或匹配识别错误的缺点,实现遮挡或残缺字符的精确识别。

Abstract:Character recognition has indispensable function for license plate recognition ,and the easiest way to identify it is template matching. This paper presents an improved template matching method, which can enhance the recognition effect. through the refinedof the character sub-library and combination of the relevant matching algorithm. This method overcomes traditional template matching''s disadvantage which isincapable of identifiying incomplete characters or matching errors. Besides, it achieves the goal of sheltering and accurate identification of incomplete character recognition
