佛陀与罗摩的血缘关系——读《琉璃宫史》之一得

缅甸历史名著《琉璃宫史》，南传上座部佛教文献，印度婆罗门教文献和大乘汉文佛教文献中，均记载了佛教创始人释迦牟尼与印度史诗《罗摩衍那》主人公罗摩的血缘关系问题。早期典籍一致认为罗摩属于甘蔗族后裔，但还没有提到释迦牟尼。也许是晚出的文献认为释迦族也属于甘蔗族系。这样，同是甘蔗族的后裔，释迦牟尼和罗摩自然就有血缘上的关系，罗摩就成了释迦牟尼的远祖之一。1．大乘佛教文献对佛陀出生于甘蔗族的记载很明确，但似乎还没有与罗摩直接挂上钩。2．南传佛教文献对释迦牟尼与罗摩有血缘关系的记载较明确，其记载并非全不可信。3．印度往世书文献将释迦族列为甘蔗族后裔。显然，罗摩为释迦牟尼远祖的结论，是有充足根据的。

Blood Relationship between Buddha and Rama——A New Finding from Reading Hman Nan ya zawin

Based on the related records in Hman Nan ya zawin (A History of the Glazed Palace), a well-known Burmese historical works, together with the records from Buddhist literature under the Sthaviravāda, a sect of Buddhism disseminating southerly, Indian Brahmanist literature, and Chinese versions of Mahayana Buddhist literature, this paper has explored the subject of the blood relationship between Sakyamuni, founder of Buddhism, and Rama, the hero in the Ramayana, an Indian epic. The author comes to the conclusion that Rama was the remote ancestor of Sakyamuni.
