Abstract:
There exist logical problems in the explanation of the second law of thermodynamics in some physical chemistry textbooks.It was shown that these explanations contradicted the law of identity, the law of non-contradiction and the law of sufficient reason in logic.The origin of the Carnot cycle and the efficiency of a Carnot engine were introduced from the historical view.
