摘    要:近年来,随着国内古镇旅游热潮的兴起,古镇保护与更新问题日益突出。以闽北和平古镇为实证,通过现场对居民的访谈、调研,指出古镇由于地方经济落后、历史功能衰退和价值认识差异而引发保护与更新的现实问题,对照周庄与丽江古镇保护与更新的经验与教训,提出只有依据各地的实际情况,有效地发挥各级政府的主导作用,最广泛地发动群众参与,寻求规划师和建筑师支持合作的多元保护与更新模式,才能做到既有利于协调保护建设过程中的矛盾,又有利于古镇保护的可持续发展。

Abstract:Preservation and renewal of ancient towns has become a difficult problem as tourism has increased in these communities.This article presents a case study of Heping ancient town in Northern Fujian province,P.R.China.Based on interviews with local residents and additional investigation,the authors maintain that the preservation and renewal problems resulted from a poor regional economy,declining historical function and various value concepts.The authors also draw on preservation and renewal experiences and lessons in the ancient towns of Zhouzhuang and Lijiang.Preservation and construction contradictions can be resolved and the sustainable development and protection of ancient towns promoted only if the following are present: practical conditions in different areas of the town,effective government-led functions at all levels,wide public participation,and multiple preservation and renewal patterns supported by planners and architects.
