On current situation and development of social service functions of local colleges and universities: taking Guangdong Province as the case study

We conducted the in-depth analysis and study of the regularity of the establishment and development of local colleges and universities in Guangdong, the strong support of the talent cultivation, the emphasis point of the scientific innovation application, and the core point of the humanistic spirit inheritance, explored effective ways as to strengthen the relationship of local colleges and universities with the society, and proposed new trends and new approaches for the effective cooperation with the regional governments, enterprises and the general public. The result is a reference for the development of social service functions of the local colleges and universities in other provinces of China.
