Review of the Aggregation of Fujian' s Old Local Chronicles: a Great Monumental Literary Work about Fujian' s Local History

As a great history book that makes the cultural and historical scholars wait for, the Aggregation of Fujian’s Old Local Chronicles includes various periods’ annals of Fujian’s local history (old local chronicles of province, state, city, county and village), special chronicles and sundry chronicles, and makes a detailed textual research on the place names and characters that appeared in the old local chronicles. This book is an academic masterpiece and a precious reservoir of information. Although this book has some shortcomings, it is still regarded as a great masterpiece of Fujian history and a model of the aggregation of Chinese old local chronicles.
