Analysis of abnormal sounds in working condition change-over for high-head pump-turbine

This paper analyzes abnormal sounds and vibrations during working condition change-over with small guide vane opening angle for high-head pump-turbine of Tianhuangping Pumped Storage Station. It was confirmed that the abnormal sounds and vibrations were caused by shock oscillation of guide vanes. The solving method was introduced also.
