| Abstract: | This paper describes a reversed-phase ion-pair chromatographic separation and UV detection of SCN with pre-colurnn derivatization to form [HgEDTA (SCN )]3- complex.The chromatographic processes were performed on a Zorbax oDS column with a mobile phase of methanol-water(20: 80) containing 4. 0 mmol/L TBA+, 8. 0mmol/L EDTA, 5. 0mmol/L NaNO3 and KH2PO4-Na2HPO4 buffcr solution (pH 5. 9), and the eluent was monitored by a UV detector operating at 240nm. The calibration curve is rectilinear and the detection limit is 33. 3 ng. The method is convenient and selective. |
