聚苯乙烯增强的室温硫化硅橡胶的制备及表征

摘    要:以过氧化苯甲酰(BPO)为引发剂,使苯乙烯(St)在α,ω-羟基聚二甲基硅氧烷(PDMS)的甲苯溶液中进行自由基聚合制备PDMS/聚苯乙烯(PS)共混物,在甲基三乙氧基硅烷与PDMS的质量比为1∶1时,制得PS增强的室温硫化硅橡胶。研究了原料配比、BPO用量和甲苯用量对硅橡胶力学性能的影响,并对其微观结构进行了表征。结果表明,当PDMS/St(质量比)为60/40、BPO为PDMS质量的2.5%、甲苯/PDMS(质量比)为2时,所得硅橡胶的拉伸强度可达到3.8 MPa,PS的增强效果明显;该室温硫化硅橡胶具有微相分离结构,PS作为分散相分布于PDMS连续相中,且具有2个玻璃化转变温度。

Abstract:α,ω-dihydroxy-polydimethylsiloxane/polystyrene(PDMS/PS) blends were prepared when styrene(St) was radical-polymerized in the toluene solution of PDMS using benzoyl peroxide(BPO) as initiator.The room temperature vulcanized silicone rubbers reinforced with PS were prepared at methyl-triethoxysilicane(MTES)/PDMS(mass ratio) 1∶1.The influences of feed ratio,amount of BPO and toluene on mechanical properties of the silicone rubbers were studied,and the microstructure of silicon rubber was characterized.The results showed that the tensile strength of silicone rubber obtained could reach 3.8 MPa,and the reinforcement effect of PS was significant under the conditions of PDMS/St(mass ratio) 60/40,the mass fraction of BPO 2.5% by PDMS,and toluene/PDMS(mass ratio) 2.The room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber had a microphase separation structure,and its PS domains dispersed within a continuous PDMS matrix,exhibiting two glass transition temperatures.
