The World Robot Summit is a robot Olympics and aims to be held in a different country every four years from 2020. The concept of the Plant Disaster Prevention challenge is daily inspections, checks, and emergency response in industrial plants, and in this competition, robots must carry out these types of missions in a mock-up plant. The concept of the Tunnel Disaster Response and Recovery challenge is emergency response to tunnel disasters, and is a simulation competition whereby teams compete to show their ability to deal with disasters, by collecting information and removing debris. The Standard Disaster Robotics challenge assesses, in the form of a contest, the standard performance levels of a robot that are necessary for disaster prevention and emergency response. The World Robot Summit Preliminary Competition was held at Tokyo Big Sight in October 2018, and 36 teams participated in the Disaster Robotics Category. UGVs and UAVs contended the merits of new technology for solving complex problems, using core technologies such as mobility, sensing, recognition, performing operations, human interface, autonomous intelligence etc., as well as system integration and implementation of strategies for completing missions, gaining high-level results. 相似文献

Humanitarian psychological support as an organized field is relatively young. Pioneers in the field were involved primarily in providing psychological support to refugees and internally displaced persons in conflict and nonconflict situations. This article describes basic principles for the design of psychological support programs and interventions. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) began a psychological support program in 1991. The IFRC chose psychological first aid as its model for implementation in developing countries. Psychological first aid fits all the principles for psychological support program design and is adapted to individual communities. The first generation of psychological support programs differed dramatically depending on the countries in which they were developed. A second generation of psychological support programs evolved in response to the earthquake/tsunami of December 26, 2004. The Inter-Agency Standing Committee international guidelines consolidated the advances of second-generation programs and provided a clear indication of the wide acceptance of the importance of psychological support. A glimpse is provided of the third generation of psychological support programs, and an admonition is made for a more empirical evaluation of the effectiveness of interventions. Popular interest in robotics has increased astonishingly in the last few years. Robotics is seen by many as offering major new benefits in education at all levels. Before rushing to exploit this popularity, educators should ask serious questions about the universality and longevity of the robotics phenomenon. Is it a fashion? To be useful, the energy released by robotics must be sustained and universal, and the means of exploiting it must be systematic. Universities define their own robotics curriculum, but most schools lack both the resources and the freedom to do this, and must work with a national curriculum. If it can be shown that robotics has sustained potential in education, it seems inevitable that new ways need to be found to integrate it into the school curriculum. 相似文献

In this paper, we present the results of an experiment in which a collection of simulated robots that have been evolved for the ability to solve a collective navigation problem develop a communication system that allows them to co-operate better. The analysis of the results obtained indicates how evolving robots develop a non-trivial communication system and exploit different communication modalities. The results also indicate how the possibility of co-adapting the robots’ individual and social/communicative behaviour plays a key role in the development of progressively more complex and effective individuals. 相似文献

地质灾害是建设用地选址时考虑的关键因素之一,也是危险性区划的主要参考要素,其直接或间接危害到人类安全并给社会和经济建设造成重大损失。为了降低建设用地规划中地质灾害的影响,应将地质灾害危险性分区考虑到建设用地适宜性评价当中。以干旱河谷山区丹巴县为研究区,运用确定系数和逻辑回归相结合的方法,构建地质灾害危险性评价体系对该区进行地质灾害危险性分区。选择安全因子、自然因子、社会因子和生态因子共同构成建设用地适宜性评价指标体系,利用层次分析法对研究区进行建设用地适宜性评价。结果表明:(1)对丹巴县进行危险性分区,极高危险区217.20km2,高危险区744.95km2,中度危险区1352.44km2,低度危险区1295.08km2以及极低危险区875.32km2。(2)丹巴县建设用地最适宜区面积为115.72km2,占县域总面积的2.57%,适宜建设的土地少且多集中在小金川、革什扎河、东谷河和大渡河沿岸河谷地区。较适宜区、基本适宜区、较不适宜区和禁止建设区面积分别为683.47km2、623.21km2、590.66km2、2494.21km2。(3)已建成的城镇空间中38.50%和37.62%分布在最适宜区和较适宜区,整体分布状况良好。有5.85%的城镇空间建设在较不适宜区,2.67%在禁止建设区,存在生态安全风险,该区域应加强灾害预警与防灾减灾工作,有条件地适度搬迁。 相似文献
