An optical system for the parallel evaluation of in- and out-of-plane dynamical deformations will be described. A double pulse laser with pulse separation in the microsecond range is used for the investigations. Two separate interferograms of an object under test, in its undeformed and deformed state, are recorded in a few microseconds. The object is illuminated from two different directions and imaged onto a CCD sensor. This produces two sensitivity vectors. The reference beams have different directions in order to produce two directional spatial carriers. The Fourier method is used for quantitative evaluation, and the measurements along different sensitivity vectors are separated in the Fourier domain. The phases of the two interferograms are obtained from the complex amplitudes and the two dimensional deformation is calculated from the phases. Experimental results are presented. 相似文献

The magnetic anisotropy field in thin films with in-plane uniaxial anisotropy can be deduced from the VSM magnetization curves
measured in magnetic fields of constant magnitudes. This offers a new possibility of applying rotational magnetization curves
to determine the first- and second-order anisotropy constant in these films. In this paper we report a theoretical derivation
of rotational magnetization curve in hexagonal crystal system with easy-plane anisotropy based on the principle of the minimum
total energy. This model is applied to calculate and analyze the rotational magnetization process for magnetic spherical particles
with hexagonal easy-plane anisotropy when rotating the external magnetic field in the basal plane. The theoretical calculations
are consistent with Monte Carlo simulation results. It is found that to well reproduce experimental curves, the effect of
coercive force on the magnetization reversal process should be fully considered when the intensity of the external field is
much weaker than that of the anisotropy field. Our research proves that the rotational magnetization curve from VSM measurement
provides an effective access to analyze the in-plane anisotropy constant K
3 in hexagonal compounds, and the suitable experimental condition to measure K
3 is met when the ratio of the magnitude of the external field to that of the anisotropy field is around 0.2.

Microstructure and strain films using in-plane grazing analysis of GaN epitaxial incidence x-ray diffraction 下载免费PDF全文
This paper investigates the major structural parameters, such as crystal quality and strain state of (001)-oriented GaN thin films grown on sapphire substrates by metalorganic chemical vapour deposition, using an in-plane grazing incidence x-ray diffraction technique. The results are analysed and compared with a complementary out-of-plane x- ray diffraction technique. The twist of the GaN mosaic structure is determined through the direct grazing incidence t of (100) reflection which agrees well with the result obtained by extrapolation method. The method for directly determining the in-plane lattice parameters of the GaN layers is also presented. Combined with the biaxial strain model, it derives the lattice parameters corresponding to fully relaxed GaN films. The GaN epilayers show an increasing residual compressive stress with increasing layer thickness when the two dimensional growth stage is established, reaching to a maximum level of-0.89 GPa. 相似文献

In order to lower the saturation voltage and enhance the transmittance of in-plane switching blue-phase liquid crystal display (IPS-BPLCD), IPS-BPLCD with insulating protrusion is proposed. The single-protrusion (only set on the top of pixel electrode) and double-protrusion (set on the top of pixel and common electrodes) structures are investigated in this work. The potential distribution changes when the protrusion is used. There is a thicker transverse electric field in BPLC range, because the stronger electric field at the edges of the electrodes is decentralised into BPLC range. As a result, the saturation voltage is reduced from 36.3 V to 28.9 V when the double-protrusion structure is used, and transmittance is increased by ~20%. The contrast ratio is larger than 1000:1 in 60° viewing cone using a half-wave biaxial film. Both single-protrusion and double-protrusion structures have the uniform gamma curves at large oblique viewing angles. This paper presents a new standing-wave-type linear ultrasonic motor using combination of the first longitudinal and the second bending modes. Two piezoelectric plates in combination with a metal thin plate are used to construct the stator. The superior point of the stator is its isosceles triangular structure part of the stator, which can amplify the displacement in horizontal direction of the stator in perpendicular direction when the stator is operated in the first longitudinal mode. The influence of the base angle θ of the triangular structure part on the amplitude of the driving foot has been analyzed by numerical analysis. Four prototype stators with different angles θ have been fabricated and the experimental investigation of these stators has validated the numerical simulation. The overall dimensions of the prototype stators are no more than 40 mm (length) × 20 mm (width) × 5 mm (thickness). Driven by an AC signal with the driving frequency of 53.3 kHz, the no-load speed and the maximal thrust of the prototype motor using the stator with base angle 20° were 98 mm/s and 3.2 N, respectively. The effective elliptical motion trajectory of the contact point of the stator can be achieved by the isosceles triangular structure part using only two PZTs, and thus it makes the motor low cost in fabrication, simple in structure and easy to realize miniaturization. 相似文献

A polymer-stabilised blue-phase liquid crystal display (PSBP-LCD) with double-side in-plane switching (DS-IPS) electrode structure is proposed. This structure shows the transflective characteristics because the bottom electrodes are made by aluminium material. For transflective displays, it exhibits a well-matched voltage-dependent transmission and reflection curves through designing the width and gap of the top electrodes. Spin–orbit coupling effects on the in-plane optical anisotropy of semiconductor quantum wells 下载免费PDF全文
We theoretically study the influence of the spin–orbit coupling(SOC) on the in-plane optical anisotropy(IPOA) induced by in-plane uniaxial strain and interface asymmetry in(001) GaAs/AlGaAs quantum wells(QWs) with different well width. It is found that the SOC has more significant impact on the IPOA for the transition of the first valence subband of heavy hole to the first conduction band(1H1E) than that of 1L1E. The reason has been discussed. The IPOA of(001) InGaAs/InP QWs has been measured by reflectance difference spectroscopy, whose amplitude is about one order larger than that of GaAs/AlGaAs QWs. The anisotropic interface potential parameters of InGaAs/InP QWs are also determined. The influence of the SOC effect on the IPOA of InGaAs/InP QWs when the QWs are under tensile, compressive or zero biaxial strain are also investigated in theory. Our results demonstrate that the SOC has significant effect on the IPOA especially for semiconductor QWs with small well width, and therefore cannot be ignored. 相似文献
