We analyze the problem of infrared optical absorption in a clean layered London superconductor in the vicinity of the gap =2. We conclude that absorption of light with wave vectorqc is enhanced over ordinary Drude absorption (qc) due to resonance absorption (Landau damping). Experimental absorption studies with qc might therefore improve chances to observe a superconducting gap in the high-T c superconductors.  相似文献

Silicon AFM tips can profitably be used as optical sensors for near field optical microscopy. In particular they are able to convert evanescent waves (also called virtual photons) into propagating ones which are conveniently guided in the tip and transferred to the air at the back of the cantilever. In this paper it is shown that virtual photons scattered at the tip end are also converted into real ones which are observed in the far field. Contrary to the previous observations of similar conversion at STM metal tips the scattered emission at dielectric silicon tips does not have a dependence with distance of a full exponential decay but rather follows the more complex dependence of the dielectric capture. This observation is consistent with Mie's theory of scattering of real photons by small particles. Experiments are performed with boths andp polarizations showing a regular dependence of the scattered intensity with the incidence angle. The same experiment is also performed with metallized silicon tips showing a metal scattering behaviour. This results can help to achieve a better control of the tip position in the close range of distances in a Photon Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (PSTM) experiment.  相似文献

Analytic expressions are given for the baryonic, electric and strangeness chemical potentials which explicitly show the importance of various terms. Simple scaling relations connecting these chemical potentials are found. Applications to particle ratios and to fluctuations and related thermal properties such as the isothermal compressibility κTκT are illustrated. A possible divergence of κTκT is discussed.  相似文献

The density functional theory (DFT) calculations of structural, elastic, electronic and optical properties of the cubic antiperovskite AsNMg3 has been reported using the pseudo-potential plane wave method (PP-PW) within the generalized gradient approximation (GGA). The equilibrium lattice, bulk modulus and its pressure derivative have been determined. The elastic constants and their pressure dependence are calculated using the static finite strain technique. We derived the bulk and shear moduli, Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio for ideal polycrystalline AsNMg3 aggregate. We estimated the Debye temperature of AsNMg3 from the average sound velocity. This is the first quantitative theoretical prediction of the elastic properties of AsNMg3 compound, and it still awaits experimental confirmation. Band structure, density of states and pressure coefficients of energy gaps are also given. The fundamental band gap (Γ-Γ) initially increases up to 4 GPa and then decreases as a function of pressure. Furthermore, the dielectric function, optical reflectivity, refractive index, extinction coefficient, and electron energy loss are calculated for radiation up to 30 eV. The all results are compared with the available theoretical and experimental data.  相似文献

Yb:GdYAl3 (B03)4 (Yb:GdYAB) is investigated as a new laser crystal for potential applications in self-frequency doubling. The emission and absorption properties of Yb:GdYAB crystal are studied, and the emission decay times of the upper laser level are measured. The emission cross sections are evaluated using the absorption cross section and principle of reciprocity. The other laser performance parameters, such as the minimum inversion fraction βmin, pump saturation intensity Isat and minimum pump intensity 1rain, are also calculated. The results are discussed in the framework of requirements for an effective diode-pumped Yb^3+ laser system. Yb:GdYAB is expected to exhibit the most useful laser properties and to be superior to Yb:YAB crystal that has been excellent self-frequency-doubling crystal at present in many key spectroscopic parameter values.  相似文献

Er^3+ :Yb^3+ codoped tellurite-fluorophosphate (TFP) glass ceramic exhibits much stronger upconversion luminescence. The intensity of the 540nm green light and 651 nm red light of the TFP glass ceramic is 120 times and 44 times stronger than that of the fluorophospahte (FP) glass, respectively. XRD analysis shows that the nanocrystal in TFP glass ceramic is SrTe5O11. TFP glass ceramic also displays much higher upconversion fluorescence lifetime and crystallization stability. The narrow and strong peak at 540nm is very ideal for practical upconversion luminescence realization. This work is a new trial for exploring non-PbF2 involved nanocrystal upconversion glass ceramics.  相似文献

Nuclear and magnetic structures of an annealed polycrystalline sample of the heavy-fermion compound CePd2Al3 prepared by arc-melting were investigated by neutron powder diffraction. The chemical structure corresponds well to the ordered hexagonal PrNi2Al3-type structure. The antiferromagnetic structure of CePd2Al3 with an ordered magnetic moment Ce=0.47(2) B at saturation is remarkably similar to that in the heavy fermion superconductor UPd2Al3. The additional incommensurate magnetic structures reported previously both for UPd2Al3 and CePd2Al3 are not observed in the present sample of CePd2Al3. At 1.4 K the magnetoresistivity of CePd2Al3 measured up to 14 T indicates only one field-induced phase transition at 3.0 T.  相似文献

We report AlGaN-based back-illuminated solar-blind Schottky-type ultraviolet photodetectors with the cutoff- wavelength from 280nm to 292nm without bias. The devices show low dark current of 2.1× 10^-6A/cm^2 at the reverse bias of 5 V. The specific detectivity D* is estimated to be 3.3 × 10^12cmHz^1/2 W^-1 . To guarantee the performance of the photodetectors, the optimization of AlGaN growth and annealing condition for Schottky contacts were performed. The results show that high-temperature annealing method for Ni/Pt Schottky contacts is effective for the reduction of leakage current.  相似文献

We study the charge dynamics and electronic structure by optical spectroscopy technique. Here we focus on the following four issues: (1) the evolution of optical spectra with Na content; (2) the spectral features specific to different regions in the phase diagram; (3) the c-axis optical response for crystal at the A-type antiferromagnetic region; (4) the optical response of misfit-layered Bi2M2Co2Oy (M=Ba, Sr, Ca) and Ca3Co4Oy single crystals.  相似文献
