Base-catalyzed cyclization of β-(2-arylaminoethoxy)styrenes

Inclusion of α-phenyl-N-p-methylphenyl Nitrone in β- Cyclodextrin: Formation of 1G : 1H and 1G : 2H Complexes and the Remarkably Fast 1,3-Dipolar Cycloaddition of the 1G : 2H Complex with Olefins in the Solid State

The nitrone is found to be included in the 64t061577226184/xxlarge946.gif" alt="beta" align="MIDDLE" BORDER="0">-cyclodextrin cavity in two different stoichiometries viz., 1G : 1H and 1G : 2H – the existence of which is proved by physical methods. The 1G : 2H complex of the nitrone serves as a good potent dipolarophile in the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions with olefins resulting in rate acceleration and regioselection.

Synthesis of 4,4′-bis(4-aminophenoxy)benzophenone and polyimides based on this compound

Various polyimides were obtained by reactions of 4,4 64x432/xxlarge8242.gif" alt="prime" align="BASELINE" BORDER="0">-bis(4-aminophenoxy)benzophenone with aromatic tetracarboxylic acid dianhydrides. On the homogeneity of additive mappings

LetK be a ring with an identity 1 0 andM, L two unitaryK-modules. Then, for any additive mappingf:M L, the setH _f :={ K f(x)=f(x) for allx M} forms a subring ofK, the homogeneity ring off. It is shown that, forM {0},L {0} and any subringS ofK for whichM is a freeS-module, there exists an additive mappingf:ML such thatH _f =S. This result is applied to the four Cauchy functional equations, and it leads also to an answer to the question as to whether it is possible to introduce onM a multiplication ·:M × M M makingM into a ring but not into aK-algebra.     

Equilibrium phase behavior of aqueous two-phase systems containing 17R4/L64 and citrates

The cloud points (CPs) of the copolymers 17R4 and L64 were first measured, and then the effects of salts ((NH₄)₃C₆H₅O₇, K₃C₆H₅O₇) on 17R4 and L64 were researched. After finishing the work described above, the temperature (278.15, 283.15, and 288.15) K of aqueous two-phase systems was determined, which consist of 17R4-(NH₄)₃C₆H₅O₇, 17R4-K₃C₆H₅O₇, L64-(NH₄)₃C₆H₅O₇, and L64-K₃C₆H₅O₇. Finally, the liquid–liquid equilibrium (LLE) data of binodal curve and the tie line for 17R4-(NH₄)₃C₆H₅O₇ aqueous two- phase systems (ATPSs) 17R4-K₃C₆H₅O₇ ATPSs, L64-(NH₄)₃C₆H₅O₇ ATPSs, and L64-K₃C₆H₅O₇ ATPSs were obtained. Nonlinear fitting of the empirical equation was used for making the diagram. The results showed that the change in the size of the two-phase areas increases with the increase of temperature. The capacity of the salts to induce phase segregation follows the Hofmeister series, that is, K₃C₆H₅O₇?>?(NH₄)₃C₆H₅O₇. In addition, the findings also showed that the phase separation ability of 17R4 is better than that of L64.     

Radiotracer Investigation of the Copper Ore Concentration Process

One of the most difficult operations for control and identification in copper ore concentration process is grain classification in hydrocyclone batteries. In the paper radiotracer investigations of the classification process immediately give values of hydrocyclones parameters with higher accuracy than obtained from conventional methods. Presented paper includes the results of the investigation which was carried out in “Lubin” Copper Mine in Poland.
