公益产品设计微探

公益产品设计近年来备受社会瞩目,其构想的价值毋庸置疑,然而,在设计中,一些思想未必成熟,各方面因素考虑不周,设计出的产品不仅难以实现公益,甚至出现南辕北辙的无奈。把握公益产品设计的正确方向,使得产品设计能够真正做到公益的效果,对于参与公益产品设计的企业和设计者而言是当务之急。     

基于老年群体的健身器材交互设计研究

当今社会,人口老龄化已经成为全世界共同的社会问题,中国也在逐步迈入老龄化社会行列,然而现代信息社会正向年轻化发展。两者的矛盾不言而喻,这让老年人与现代社会脱节越来越严重。文章以老年人健身器材为研究对象,在了解老年人特点的基础上,分析老年人交互式产品的设计原则,总结老年人健身器材设计现状,并提出老年人健身器材交互设计的方法,希望对解决当今社会老龄化问题有一定的推动作用。

基于图像处理的课室人员位置分布识别

对大型课室人员位置分布识别有利于课室灯光节能管理,基于面积判据的人员位置识别算法没有应用场景的约束,但容易因人体Blob图像粘连而产生误判;基于座位网格的算法只适用于直线排列的固定座位,但算法简单可靠。实验证明:两种方法均能有效地检测出人员分布情况,后者对固定座位的课室检测准确性更好,效率更高。     

A low-power wireless video sensor node for distributed object detection

In this paper we propose MicrelEye, a wireless video node for cooperative distributed video processing applications that involve image classification. The node is equipped with a low-cost VGA CMOS image sensor, a reconfigurable processing engine (FPGA, Microcontroller, SRAM) and a Bluetooth 100-m transceiver. It has a size of few cubic centimeters and its typical power consumption is approximately ten times less than that of typical commercial DSP-based solutions. As regards classification, a highly optimized hardware-oriented support vector machine-like (SVM-like) algorithm called ERSVM is proposed and implemented. We describe our hardware and software architecture, its performance and power characteristics. The case study considered in this paper is people detection. The obtained results suggest that the present technology allows for the design of simple intelligent video nodes capable of performing classification tasks locally.

浅析饭店员工流失的原因、影响及对策

员工是饭店经营之本，控制人才流失是饭店立身之基。适当比例的人员流动，能够增强饭店活力；但流动如果超过一定比例，对饭店的影响无疑弊大于利。根据对目前饭店员工流失的主要原因的分析，提出了切实可行的应对措施。     

The discourse of ‘Respect for People’ in UK construction

A competency‐based review of professional quantity surveying is important for service excellence and has continuing relevance in the built environment of the 21^st century. A survey of quantity surveyors in professional practice in South Africa has provided a new perspective on the relative importance of competencies required for current and future quantity surveying services, and revealed notable gaps between the important competencies and current proficiency levels among practitioners. The survey was based on a structured questionnaire reflecting 23 defined competencies, which were derived from the literature and from in‐depth interviews with selected practitioners. The results indicated that technically orientated competencies were rated of highest importance for current services, while management orientated competencies were rated of higher importance for future services. The profession was rated as deploying below average proficiency levels in marketing, advanced financial management, leadership and general management, and project management, although these received high current and future importance ratings. The findings suggest that initial and continuing education and training of professional quantity surveyors should emphasize the development of management‐orientated competencies.
