Twin screw granulation (TSG) is a new process of interest to the pharmaceutical community that can continuously wet granulate powders, doing so at lower liquid concentrations and with better product consistency than found by a high shear batch mixer. A considerable body of research has evolved over the short time since this process was introduced but generally with little comparison of results. A certain degree of confidence has been developed through these studies related to how process variables and many attributes of machinery configuration will affect granulation but some major challenges still lay ahead related to scalability, variations in the processing regimes related to degree of channel fill and the impact of wetting and granulation of complex powder formulations. This review examines the current literature for wet granulation processes studied in twin screw extrusion machinery, summarizing the influences of operational and system parameters affecting granule properties as well as strives to provide some practical observations to newly interested users of the technique. 相似文献

吐哈油田部分区块地层压力系数小于0.9,常规水基压井液对储层伤害大,若使用油基压井液成本高,环境污染严重。通过实验优选出了一种低密度水基微泡沫压井液。该压井液具有密度低、泡沫强度高、稳定性好、携砂能力强等优点。现场应用表明,低密度微泡沫压井液稳定时间大于48 h,密度在0.70~0.99 g/cm3之间可调,抗油污染能力强,抗油大于8%,抗温在100℃以上,岩心污染后渗透率恢复值大于80%;并且施工方便,成本低,具有储层保护能力,使用微泡沫压井液的井表皮系数在0.20~2.34之间。 相似文献

We report on a feasibility study on precise determination of mass-specific activity of low-energy emitting radioisotopes. Conventional methods of activity measurement suffer from source self-absorption and a strong decrease in detection efficiency for low-energy electrons and photons. We propose a new method based on metallic magnetic microcalorimeters with the source embedded in the detector target in a 4π geometry. First results with a 55Fe source show that electrons and photons are detected with a detection efficiency close to unity and with little loss of energy for electrons. Laurence Bishop's contribution to the brewing industry over more than 50 years of research endeavour and committee activities is reviewed. Three research areas — prediction of extract, the effect of turbidity on yeast activity during fermentation and the development of a 3-vessel fermentation system — are used to highlight his achievements. Five topics with which the author was intimately involved, three of which were connected with Laurence Bishop's own researches, are used to describe the author's activities. The formation of a low Cr-volatility and electrically conductive oxide outer layer atop an inner chromia layer via thermal oxidation is highly desirable for preventing chromium evaporation from solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) metallic interconnects at the SOFC operation temperatures. In this paper, a number of ferritic Fe–22Cr alloys with different levels of Mn and Ti as well as a Ni-based alloy Haynes 242 were cyclically oxidized in air at 800 °C for twenty 100-h cycles. No oxide scale spallation was observed during thermal cycling for any of these alloys. A mixed Mn2O3/TiO2 surface layer and/or a (Mn, Cr)3O4 spinel outer layer atop a Cr2O3 inner layer was formed for the Fe–22Cr series alloys, while an NiO outer layer with a Cr2O3 inner layer was developed for Haynes 242 after cyclic oxidation. For the Fe–22Cr series alloys, the effects of Mn and Ti contents as well as alloy purity on the oxidation resistance and scale area specific resistance were evaluated. The performance of the ferritic alloys was compared with that of Haynes 242. The mismatch in thermal expansion coefficient between the different layers in the oxide scale was identified as a potential concern for these otherwise promising alloys. 相似文献

Gradient-corrected density functional theory was used to investigate the adsorption of H2S on Pd(1 1 1) surface. Molecular adsorption was found to be stable with H2S binding preferentially at top sites. In addition, the adsorption of other S moieties (SH and S) was investigated. SH and S were found to be preferentially bind at the bridge and fcc sites, respectively. The reaction pathways and energy profiles for H2S decomposition giving rise to adsorbed S and H were determined. Both H2S(ad) → SH(ad) + H(ad) and SH(ad) → S(ad) + H(ad) reactions were found to have low barriers and high exothermicities. This reveals that the decomposition of H2S on Pd(1 1 1) surface is a facile process. 相似文献

The influence volume approach (IVA) is often utilized for modeling the mass transfer process dictating bubble growth dynamics in physical foaming. However, the assumed concentration profile in the IVA method is only valid when the changes in dissolved gas concentration are small (less than 5%). In addition, the validity of the IVA method is difficult to justify in chemical foaming applications because of the difficulties involved in defining the dissolved gas concentration profile.In the present work, we define two distinct stages of bubble growth for physical foaming. These two stages are termed as free and limited expansion and are controlled by the bubble nucleation rate. Bubble nucleation is assumed to occur only in the free expansion stage. In this stage, the bubble pressure drops substantially from an initially high pressure in the supersaturated state while the dissolved gas concentration changes very little. The second stage of our two-stage mass transfer model is termed the limited expansion stage and accounts for bubble growth in the late stages of foam evolution, when the pressure changes become small. However, in the limited stage of bubble growth the dissolved gas concentration drops significantly, as the available dissolved gas is depleted. To summarize our two-stage mass transfer model of foam expansion, the pressure difference between the bubble phase and the liquid phase is the primary mechanism for driving mass transfer in the early (free) stages of foam growth and the concentration difference is the driver for bubble growth in the late (limited) stages of growth. The first stage can be regarded as the nucleation stage and it is relatively short; while the second stage can be regarded as the bubble growth stage and is much longer. Most of the bubble volume expansion takes place in the second stage.The concentration gradient at the bubble edge, which is often ignored in other models, is analyzed in detail in this paper. 葡北3-12注气井位于吐哈盆地葡北构造带中断葡北1号构造.井深为3610m。针对该区块地层承压能力低,易漏失,油气水窜严重,常规固井方法无法满足固井要求的问题,该井采用三段三凝制、常规水泥浆和泡沫水泥浆体系固井,并采用重钻井液顶替技术.降低施工压力。该技术能保证固井候凝过程中井底压力平衡,施工安全。现场应用表明,采用常规水泥浆和泡沫水泥浆固井技术.提高了低压易漏井、长封固井段的固井质量,解决了水泥返高不足的问题;并通过一次常规固井工艺实现了全井封固,简化了施工工艺,节约了成本,经济效益和社会效益十分显著。该井封固优质段累计达2600m,优质率达85%,固井结果良好。 相似文献
