烟用香料配制的气相色谱法质量控制研究

采用气相色谱法对香料房卷烟用料液中的溶剂及水分进行检测,分析测定其中的水分、乙醇、丙二醇、山梨醇等的含量,通过对香料房每批配制料液的抽检,可以跟踪料液配制的准确性,保证卷烟产品质量,该方法操作简单、准确性高、重现性好。     

Predicting Youth Access to Tobacco: The Role of Youth Versus Store-Clerk Behavior and Issues of Ecological Validity.

Twenty-one 15- to 17-year-olds attempted to purchase cigarettes in 232 stores in the manner that confederates typically do in access studies, as well as in the manipulative ways (e.g., lying about their ages) that youth smokers do, thereby modeling youth access to tobacco within versus outside of studies, respectively. Youth typical-research versus manipulative behavior was contrasted with clerk behavior (requests for youth ID cards) to examine the relative contributions of both to youth access to tobacco for the 1st time. Results revealed that clerk behavior was the strongest predictor of cigarette sales to youth and hence underscore the need for interventions with merchants. Sales nonetheless were higher under youth-manipulative conditions and thereby highlight the low ecological validity of access research. 长期以来,烟丝的物理特征都被认为是影响卷烟质量的主要因素。随着生产工艺和企业烟丝标准的不断提高,如今烟丝的物理特征对卷烟质量的影响不再显著。研究人员转而将目光转向了烟丝的整丝率变化率。

本文以《烟草控制框架公约》在我国正式生效后,按照《公约》对卷烟包装的规定,我国的卷烟商标和包装在很大程度上要重新设计和制作为着眼点,从正确履行《烟草控制框架公约》保持中式卷烟包装设计特色、正确理解中式卷烟内涵,明确烟标和包装设计方向、中式卷烟包装和色彩与消费心理有着密切的关系以及中式卷烟包装应该提高环保意识、减少环境污染和中式卷烟包装应提高技术含量,利用核心技术进行防伪设计等方面,论述了中式卷烟包装设计的发展方向及注意的事项。     

Evaluation of metal-doped manganese oxide octahedral molecular sieves in catalytic reduction of NOx from cigarette mainstream smoke

A series of Ag, Cu and Co-doped manganese oxide octahedral molecular sieves (OMS-2) were synthesized and evaluated to remove nitrogen oxides (NO _x ) from cigarette mainstream smoke. The three kinds of catalysts were added to cigarettes for studying the capabilities of reducing NO _x from cigarette mainstream smoke. The catalysis and reduction of NO in laboratory were studied. A mechanism for NO _x catalytic reduction from burning cigarettes with the catalysts adding to cigarettes was described. The catalysts show excellent catalytic activity for NO _x removal, especially the Ag-doped OMS-2 catalyst. 0.5% (mass fraction) Ag-doped OMS-2 catalyst has the best ability to remove NO _x from cigarette mainstream smoke. The use of Ag-doped OMS-2 as catalyst for removing carcinogenic compounds from cigarette smoke will be an effective strategy to protect the environment and public health.     

A Controlled Study of a Cigarette Smoking Cessation Intervention for Adolescents in Substance Abuse Treatment.

Tobacco use is prevalent among youth with alcohol and other drug problems, yet this issue has received limited research and clinical attention. This study reports on a controlled evaluation of a cigarette smoking intervention with 54 adolescents in treatment for substance abuse, ages 13-18 (22% female). Participants were assessed at 4 time points. A greater proportion of participants in the treatment condition (n = 26) reported cessation attempts and point abstinence than did control participants (n = 28) at all time points. However, significant differences were found only for point abstinence at a 3-month follow-up. These findings provide initial support for the efficacy of a smoking cessation intervention delivered in the context of adolescent substance abuse treatment.
