Spectral measurement of Mkn 421 were made in the hard X-ray energy band of 20–200 keV using a high sensitivity, large area scintillation counter telescope on November 21, 2000 and these coincided with the onset of an active X-ray phase as seen in the ASM counting rates on board RXTE. The observed spectrum can not be fitted to a single power law similar to the PDS data of BeppoSAX. The data can be fitted both by a two component power-law function or a combination of an exponential function with a power law component at the high energies above 80 keV. We identify these components with those arising from the synchrotron self compton and the high energy power-law tail arising from the upgrading of the thermal photons due to multiple Compton scattering a la Cyg X-1. A comparison with the earlier data clearly suggests a spectral variability in the hard X-ray spectrum of the source. We propose a continuously flaring geometry for the source as the underlying mechanism for energy release.  相似文献

Geochemical studies of the trace metal concentrations in suspended particulate matter (SPM) and sediment trap material from a permanently anoxic fjord, Framvaren, South Norway in 1989 and 1993 indicate that extremely high concentrations of zinc (max = 183920 mg/kg), copper (max = 4130 mg/kg), lead (max = 2752 mg/kg), and cadmium (max= 8.1 mg/kg) sometimes (1993) occur in the SPM collected in the anoxic water layer. The highest concentrations of Zn occur just below the redoxcline at 22 m water depth (in 1993), and copper, lead and cadmium have maximum concentrations between 30 and 80 m depth, where the amount of total SPM is at a minimum (about 0.3 mg/L). On a mass per volume (g/L) basis, the maximum concentrations of Cd, Cu and Fe occur at the interface (21m) and those of Zn occur just below the redoxcline (22 m depth). The SPM and sediment trap data suggest that the metals are precipitated as sulfide minerals in the anoxic water. The presence of particulate sulfides was confirmed by SEM studies that show the occurrence of discrete metal (Cu, Fe, Pb, and Zn) sulfide particles in size from 10–20 m as well as framboidal pyrites (1–5 m in size). Higher levels of metal sulfides at intermediate depths rather than in the deep water of Framvaren (> 100 m), may be due to input of trace metals by water exchange over the sill in the upper part of the water column. In the deep water, less metal sulfide precipitation takes place due to depletion of trace metals, and the dilution of particulate metal concentrations by organic matter and by the chemogenic formation of calcite.  相似文献

The homologous series of terpenoid sulfides previously reported to be present in Athabasca bitumen have been detected in a variety of petroleums from the Western Hemisphere. All 22 samples examined, ranging in age from Devonoan to Cretaceous, contained the terpenoid sulfides. A method is described for the isolation of sulfides from petroleums based on the selective oxidation of sulfides to more polar sulfoxides which are easily removed from the mixture and their subsequent reduction to sulfides. The sulfide content in the petroleum maltenes examined ranged from 0.3 to 16.1% w/w. In addition to the bicyclic and tetracyclic terpenoid sulfides a new series of tricyclic terpenoid sulfides has been identified, and the details of the isoprenoid side chain have been elucidated for all three homologous series. The distributions by carbon number of the bicyclic and tetracyclic homologous series of terpenoid sulfides show pronounced variations which are attributed to thermal maturity and degree of water washing of the petroleum, thus the ability to identify terpenoid sulfides should provide a useful tool for oil-oil and oil-source rock correlation studies. The bicyclic and tricyclic terpenoid sulfides have the same carbon framework as the carotenoids which suggest that these sulfides were accessory pigments in photosynthesis.  相似文献

云南澜沧老厂是三江成矿带南段最重要铅锌多金属矿床之一,通过LA-ICPMS和ICP-MS微量元素组成分析结果表明,矿床中闪锌矿属于铁闪锌矿,形成于中温环境,以富Fe、Mn、Cd和In等元素为特征,其中Fe、Mn、Cd、In等元素以类质同象形式赋存于闪锌矿中,而Pb、Cu 、Sn和Bi等元素含量变化范围较大,以显微包裹体(方铅矿和黄铜矿等)赋存于闪锌矿中。本矿床闪锌矿中Fe和Mn等微量元素组成与VMS矿床类似,但In和Cd的异常富集可能暗示其独特的成矿机制。总体而言,其闪锌矿微量元素组成特征和与燕山-喜山期花岗岩叠加改造作用有关的喷流沉积铅锌矿床(如云南白牛厂和广东大宝山)相似,而明显不同与矽卡岩型矿床(如核桃坪与鲁子园),更不同于MVT型铅锌矿床(牛角塘、会泽和勐兴)和金顶铅锌矿床。结合矿床产出地质特征,笔者认为云南澜沧老厂铅锌多金属矿区经历了古、中、新特提斯期不同程度的拉张与闭合发展演化,使矿床多期同位叠加成矿特征明显,其闪锌矿微量元素组成具喷流沉积成因特征,深部喜山期花岗斑岩与铅锌成矿作用关系不大,但在其侵入过程中叠加改造作用使闪锌矿等硫化物组合及其微量元素组成发生一定程度变化(如局部富集Sn和Sb等元素)。此外,两种测试方法结果对比可以看出,在硫化物单矿物微量元素分析中,LA-ICPMS相对于ICP-MS分析具有更高精度,不仅可以进行硫化物原位分析,并能即时了解微量元素在硫化物中赋存状态,而且克服了ICP-MS分析中由于单矿物选样不纯致使测试误差大等弱点。  相似文献

浙江西裘矿区新元古代火山-热泉活动强烈,矿石Cu:Zn:Pb原子百分比与火山岩和热水沉积硅质岩相似。矿床δ^34S值为-6.5‰~2.8‰,δ^18O值为8.14‰~22.32‰,铅同位素示踪主要为下地壳铅;矿石具较高的As、Sb、Bi、Ga、Zn、Ba等含量;具较低的Al/(Al+Fe=Mn)比值,Zn(Pb+Zn)比值接近1,均表现出火山-热泉沉积成矿地球化学特征。  相似文献

新测行Jade热液活动区中5件块状硫化物样品的铅同位素组成,具有较小的变化范围,表现出较均一的铅同位素组成特征。在Pb-Pb图解上,块状硫化物的铅同位素数据构成线形排列,与该区沉积物和蚀变火山岩的铅同位素组成一致,而与该区新鲜火山岩相比具较高的放射成因铅,证实了该区海底块状硫化物中的铅是由沉积物长英质火山岩来源铅共同构成的混合铅。不同热液活动区铅同位素组成对比研究表明,地质-构造环境的不同是导致各  相似文献

Rio Tinto estuary (Spain): 5000 years of pollution   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
 Mining of massive sulfide deposits in southwestern Spain extending back to the Copper and Bronze Ages has resulted in the pollution of the Rio Tinto fluvial-estuarine complex, the site of Columbus' departure for the New World in 1492. Additional sources of potential pollution include the large industrial complex at Huelva near the lower portion of the estuary. Extensive analysis of surface sediment samples and cores has established that there are no geographic trends in the distribution of the pollutants, which include Cu, Fe, Pb, Zn, Ti, Ba, Cr, V and Co. These data have, however, demonstrated that tidal flux within the estuary carries phosphorus and perhaps other elements from the industrial complex at Huelva to the tidal limit of the system, several kilometers upstream from the discharge site. Radiometric analysis of short cores shows that sedimentation rates over at least the past couple of centuries have been about 0.3 cm/year. These data and that from a single deep core demonstrate that the estuary was polluted from mining activity long before the large-scale operations began in the late nineteenth century. 笔者在该文中着重表达了3方面研究成果:在陈述清水沟-白柳沟地区成矿地质背景基础上,描述了已知工业矿床的基本特征,并将其类比为两类矿床,其一为Zn-Pb-Cu型小铁山式矿床,以展布于郭密寺北火山穹隆北东和南西两侧的下柳沟、弯阳河、下沟及郭密寺矿床为代表;其二为Cu(-Zn)型白银厂式矿床,以出露在黑河古火山穹隆北翼近核部的香子沟矿床为实例。成矿前期、成矿时期,以及成矿后期地质条件的分析与概括表明,该地区与白银厂地区在海相火山岩的成岩环境─—裂谷岛弧、火山岩组合──双峰式、古火山机构类型──古火山穹隆,以及成矿机制──海底热液对流循环成矿等诸多方面都具相似性,是寻找铜多金属硫化物矿床的良好地段。提出了该区此类矿床的综合成矿模式,相信它在本地区扩大寻找小铁山式矿床和突破性寻找白银厂式矿床中具有重要指导意义和实际操作意义.  相似文献
