We study theoretically Josephson effect in a planar ballistic junction between two triplet superconductors with p-wave orbital symmetries and separated by a two-dimensional (2D) semiconductor channel with strong Rashba spin-orbit coupling. In triplet superconductors, three types of orbital symmetries are considered. We use Bogoliubov-de Gennes formalism to describe quasiparticle propagations through the junction and the supercurrents are calculated in terms of Andreev reflection coefficients. The features of the variation of the supercurrents with the change of the strength of Rashba spin-orbit coupling are investigated in some detail. It is found that for the three types of orbital symmetries considered, both the magnitudes of supercurrent and the current-phase relations can be manipulated effectively by tuning the strength of Rashba spin-orbit coupling. The interplay of Rashba spin-orbit coupling and Zeeman magnetic field on supercurrent is also investigated in some detail. 相似文献

Spin-dependent negative differential conductance in transport through single-molecule magnets 下载免费PDF全文
Transport properties are theoretically studied through an anisotropy single-molecule magnet symmetrically connected to two identical ferromagnetic leads. It is found that even though in parallel configuration of leads’ magnetizations, the total current still greatly depends on the spin polarization of leads at certain particular bias region, and thus for large polarization a prominent negative differential conductance (NDC) emerges. This originates from the joint effect of single-direction transitions and spin polarization, which removes the symmetry between spin-up and spin-down transitions. The present mechanism of NDC is remarkably different from the previously reported mechanisms. To clarify the physics of the NDC, we further monitored the shot noise spectroscopy and found that the appearance of the NDC is accompanied by the rapid decrease of Fano factor. 相似文献

We study theoretically the effect of weak external magnetic fields on persistent spin helix states in semi- conductor two-dimensional electron gases with both Rashba and linear-in-momentum Dresselhaus spin-orbit coupling. We show that in the presence of weak external magnetic fields, some basic properties of a persistent spin helix state, including the dispersion relation between the decay time and the magnitude of the wavevector, the maximum decay time and the value of the characteristic magnitude of the wavevector at which the maximum decay time occurs, will all depend sensitively on the directions of applied external magnetic fields. 相似文献

Influence of spin–orbit coupling on spin-polarized electronic transport in magnetic semiconductor nanowires with nanosized sharp domain walls 下载免费PDF全文
Influence of spin–orbit coupling on spin-polarized electronic transport in magnetic semiconductor nanowires with nanosized sharp domain walls is investigated theoretically. It is shown that the Rashba spin–orbit coupling can enhance significantly the spin-flip scattering of charge carriers from a nanosized sharp domain wall whose extension is much smaller than the carrier's Fermi wavelength. When there are more than one domain wall presented in a magnetic semiconductor nanowire, not only the spin-flip scattering of charge carriers from the domain walls but the quantum interference of charge carriers in the intermediate domain regions between neighboring domain walls may play important roles on spin-polarized electronic transport, and in such cases the influences of the Rashba spin–orbit coupling will depend sensitively both on the domain walls' width and the domain walls' separation. 相似文献

THE EFFECT OF DIRECT f-f HOPPING ON THE HYBRIDIZATION GAP INSULATING BEHAVIOR OF THE PERIODIC ANDERSON LATTICE 下载免费PDF全文
By using the well known slave-boson technique and within the framework of mean field approximation, we study the effect of the direct f-f hopping on the low-temperature hybridization gap insulating behavior of the periodic Anderson lattice. The results show that the direct f-f hopping will decrease the hybridization gap or lead it to vanish. In the latter case, the lattice will exhibit no hybridization gap insulating behavior even if the lower renormalized band is fully occupied. 相似文献

This paper shows that a substantial amount of dissipationless
spin-Hall current contribution may exist in the extrinsic spin-Hall
effect, which originates from the spin-orbit coupling induced by
the applied external electric field itself that drives the extrinsic
spin-Hall effect in a nonmagnetic semiconductor (or metal). By
assuming that the impurity density is in a moderate range such that
the total scattering potential due to all randomly distributed
impurities is a smooth function of the space coordinate, it is shown
that this dissipationless contribution shall be of the same orders
of magnitude as the usual extrinsic contribution from spin-orbit
dependent impurity scatterings (or may even be larger than the
latter one). The theoretical results obtained are in good agreement
with recent relevant experimental results. 相似文献

Current-induced nonequilibrium spin polarization in semiconductor-nanowire/s-wave superconductor junctions with strong spin–orbit coupling 下载免费PDF全文
We have studied the characteristics of current-induced nonequilibrium spin polarization in semiconductor-nanowire/swave superconductor junctions with strong spin–orbit coupling. It was found that within some parameter regions the magnitude of the current-induced nonequilibrium spin polarization density in such structures will increase(or decrease) with the decrease(or increase) of the charge current density, in contrast to that found in normal spin–orbit coupled semiconductor structures. It was also found that the unusual characteristics of the current-induced nonequilibrium spin polarization in such structures can be well explained by the effect of the Andreev reflection. 相似文献

The effect of k-cubic Dresselhaus spin–orbit coupling on the decay time of persistent spin helix states in semiconductor two-dimensional electron gases 下载免费PDF全文
We study the theoretical effect of k-cubic (i.e, cubic-in-momentum) Dresselhaus spin-orbit coupling on the decay time of persistent spin helix states in semiconductor two-dimensional electron gases. We show that the decay time of persistent spin helix states may be suppressed substantially by k-cubic Dresselhaus spin-orbit coupling, and after taking the effect of k-cubic Dresselhaus spin-orbit interaction into account, the theoretical results obtained accord both qualitatively and quantitatively with other recent experimental results. 相似文献

Characteristics of anomalous Hall effect in spin-polarized two-dimensional electron gases in the presence of both intrinsic, extrinsic, and external electric-field induced spinben orbit couplings 下载免费PDF全文
The various competing contributions to the anomalous Hall effect in spin-polarized two-dimensional electron gases in the presence of both intrinsic, extrinsic and external electric-field induced spin-orbit coupling were investigated theoretically. Based on a unified semiclassical theoretical approach, it is shown that the total anomalous Hall conductivity can be expressed as the sum of three distinct contributions in the presence of these competing spin-orbit interactions, namely an intrinsic contribution determined by the Berry curvature in the momentum space, an extrinsic contribution determined by the modified Bloch band group velocity and an extrinsic contribution determined by spin-orbit-dependent impurity scattering. The characteristics of these competing contributions are discussed in detail in the paper. 相似文献
