It is experimentally shown that the molecular (chemical) process of surface etching of deformed aluminum–magnesium alloy AlMg6 causes the development of a macroscopic plastic strain step with an amplitude of a few percent. Using numerical simulation of the polycrystalline solid etching process, it is shown that the corrosion front morphology varies during etching from Euclid (flat) to fractal (rough). The results obtained show the key role of the surface state on the development of macroscopic mechanical instability of a material exhibiting the Portevin–Le Chatelier effect.  相似文献

The effect of holes on the band formation and the serrated deformation in planar specimens of aluminum–magnesium alloys AlMg5 and AlMg6 is studied by high-speed video filming of moving deformation bands. It is found that the concentration of an elastic field near a hole causes early nucleation of macrolocalized deformation bands and decreases the critical deformation of the first stress drop. Differences between the spatial–temporal patterns of deformation bands near holes under various deformation conditions are revealed.  相似文献

The effect of an electric current on the band formation and the serrated deformation of planar specimens made of an aluminum–magnesium AlMg5 alloy and weakened by holes is experimentally studied. It is found that the concentration of elastic stress fields and the self-localized unstable plastic deformation field near a hole decreases the critical strain of appearance of the first stress drop and hinders the currentinduced suppression of band formation and the serrated Portevin–Le Chatelier deformation. These results are shown not to be related to the concentration of Joule heat near a hole.  相似文献

A narrowband far-infrared laser on intersubband transitions of hot holes was constructed and investigated. Two methods were used: mode selection due to intercavity Fabry-Perot resonator and selection of a narrow spectral lasing region by special multilayer mirror. The emission spectra of the laser were determined. The radiation bandwidth measured was 0.2 cm-1 as compared with 15–30 cm-1 for nonselective resonator. Lasing with selective resonator could occur at any two wavelengths in the ranges 80–120 and 150–200 m. The wavelength was modified by altering electric and magnetic fields. The radiation power was about 10 W and of the same kind as that of a laser without a mode selector. The narrowband laser was used in investigation of CR of electrons in n-InSb.  相似文献
