There exists a movement within the field of psychology to incorporate religious material into the overall conceptualization and treatment of the client. This article questions the appropriateness of such incorporation and emphasizes instead the distinction the therapist needs to make between religious and psychological material in the psychotherapeutic setting. The therapist must also be aware of how religious material can intensify the transference, resistance, and countertransference, thereby complicating the therapeutic process. Client issues that relate to the religious identity of the therapist or invoke a sense of exclusive similarity in the therapeutic dyad can further complicate the therapy. Such complications suggest that the avoidance of both overt and covert messages that communicate the therapist's personal values and beliefs may be beneficial for therapy. The debuggers of Ref. 11) and most of their derivatives are of themeta-interpreter type. The computation of the debugger tracks the computation of the program to be diagnosed at the level of procedure call. This is adequate if the intuitive understanding of the programmer is in terms of procedure calls; as is indeed the case in Prolog. InLDL however, while the semantics of the language are described in a bottom-up, fixpoint model of computation,8) theactual execution of a program is a complex sequence of low-level procedure calls determined (and optimized) by the compiler. Consequently, a trace of these procedure calls is of little use to the programmer. Further, one cannot “execute” anLDL program as if it was a Prolog program; the program may simply not terminate in its Prolog reading and severalLDL constructs have no obvious Prolog counterparts. We identify the origin of a fault in theLDL program by a top-down, query/subquery approach. The basic debugger, implemented in Prolog, is a shell program between the programmer and theLDL program: it poses queries and uses the results to drive the interaction with the user. It closely resembles the one presented in Ref. 11). The core of a more sophisticated debugger is presented as well. Several concepts are introduced in order to quantify debugging abilities. One is that of agenerated interpretation, in which the structureless intended interpretation of Ref. 11) is augmented with causality. Another is the (idealized) concept of areliable oracle. We show that given an incorrect program and a reliable oracle which uses a generated interpretation, a cause for the fault will be found in finitely many steps. The commonly used penalty methods(such as Varicomp or varying the thickness of the out-of-line barriers), for determining the detonation transfer probability for an explosive interface, may become less practical or convenient the more insensitive explosive is the acceptor. The method proposed here suggests replacing the design donor by an explosive(substitute donor) of a lower detonation pressure. Both the acceptor and the mechanical hardware of the test system should be identical to those of the design system. It is assumed that the detonation pressures of both the design donor and the substitute donor are normally distributed. The same assumption holds also for the threshold detonation pressure required for initiating the acceptor. Following these assumptions we present a method to determine a minimum number of tests required to demonstrate a given reliability at a given confidence level. The relative standard deviation for each detonation pressure is assumed to be equal for all donors. We show then that the required number of tests to demonstrate a given reliability(at a given confidence level), practically depends on the ratio of the detonation pressures of the design donor and its test substitute. A similar method can be applied to demonstrate low probability of detonation transfer(high safety), by replacing the design donor by one of a higher detonation pressure.  相似文献

This paper shows that a turned trochoidal function disturbance may lead to peripheral drops production. The resulting model is used to describe that a turned trochoidal disturbance leads to peripheral drops production on the liquid jet surface without the necessity for superimposed disturbances. The trochoid is a non-unique parametric function. Only non-unique parametric functions disturbances may lead to peripheral drops production. The trochoidal function disturbance is decomposed to Fourier series. Every Fourier element receives an amplification factor in accordance to the Rayleigh inviscid jet model. Peripheral drops are received on the jet surface. The paper shows that all trochoidal disturbance functions, prolate cycloid, cycloid and curtate cycloid have a capability of peripheral drops producing. A limited capability of peripheral drops production is introduced for the trochoidal curtate cycloid. Produced drops size are reduced for increasing the jet velocity and wave number. Smaller drops are also received by transition from the prolate cycloid to curtate cycloid disturbance.  相似文献

We study the dynamics of phasons in a nonlinear photonic quasicrystal. The photonic quasicrystal is formed by optical induction, and its dynamics is initiated by allowing the light waves inducing the quasicrystal to nonlinearly interact with one another. We show quantitatively that, when phason strain is introduced in a controlled manner, it relaxes through the nonlinear interactions within the photonic quasicrystal. We establish experimentally that the relaxation rate of phason strain in the quasicrystal is substantially lower than the relaxation rate of phonon strain, as predicted for atomic quasicrystals. Finally, we monitor and identify individual 'atomic-scale' phason flips occurring in the photonic quasicrystal as its phason strain relaxes, as well as noise-induced phason fluctuations.  相似文献

High ozone levels are regularly measured during summer months over the inland and mountainous regions of Israel. Studies analyzing the back trajectories of air masses responsible for the high ozone levels showed that the precursors originated from the densely populated Israeli coastline. In order to better understand the contribution of those emission sources to ozone production, it is essential to have an accurate emission inventory that can be inputted into a photochemical model. The present paper describes the methods used in preparing an emission inventory for Israel based on information available and published until 1998. The source and accuracy of the data available are described. The calculations performed and the assumptions taken in order to obtain data not directly available are clarified. The sources reported in the inventory were the major polluters (power plants, oil refineries, and cement industries); industry; transportation; and biogenic sources. The pollutants studied were SO2, NOx, CO, saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons, ethylene, isoprene, toluene, xylene, formaldehyde, and aldehydes. The inventory showed that transportation is responsible for almost the entire CO and 30% of the volatile organic compounds emitted, although transportation itself accounts for only a fifth of total fuel consumption. About 75% of the NOx emitted can be attributed to industrial sources and the remaining 25% to transportation. Model simulations using the emission inventory were performed and compared to data available from a monitoring station situated 30 km east of Tel Aviv. The results showed good agreement, validating the accuracy of the emission inventory. The present emission inventory provides an important database as input to photochemical models used in forecasting ozone levels over Israel.  相似文献

According to constructivism, learning takes place by constructing cognitive structures based upon current, perhaps naive, knowledge and new experiences. In the case of software artifacts like programming languages and applications, current knowledge is not a solid base upon which to build viable new knowledge. Therefore, we conjecture that explicit conceptual models constructed by educators should be able to improve the performance of users in their interaction with software artifacts, in our case the popular word processor MS-Word. The experiments described in this paper support this idea: we found that learners who used our conceptual models were able to analyze and solve problems conceptually, while learners who used task-oriented learning materials of equivalent scope employed aimless trial and error.  相似文献
