Synthesis of an Optimal Control for Continuous Markov Processes by Semidefinite Quality Criteria

Optimization of control of continuous Markov processes by semidefinite quality functionals with nonadditive control cost functions is investigated. Equation for the loss function, its parameters for different integrands in the quality criterion, and its interrelation with the Fokker–Planck–Kolmogorov equation for the auxiliary noncontrollable Markov processes are determined. Examples are given.     

Spatial-differential principles for solving the degenerate navigation problem

The procedure of applying the spatial-differential principles to solving the degenerate navigation problem for the objects belonging to one-dimensional spatial manifolds is discussed. The problem is shown to belong to the class of problems of simultaneous discrimination and estimation. An approximate spatial-differential procedure for generating navigation information is obtained. An example is given.     

On probabilistic models for estimating the coordinates of the object’s position in a topology of one-dimensional manifolds

The probabilistic models underlying the estimation of the coordinates of an object’s position in a topology of one-dimensional manifolds are analysed in the case of a multiangle measuring system. The specific features of these models are identified, and the sequence of their use in processing data produced by a three-angle measuring system is described.

Using regularities of multiplication processes in problems of acoustic-emission testing of the strength of structures

An algorithmic technique is proposed for processing signals from acoustic-emission sensors in the problems of combined detection and estimation of microdamage. The results of numerical studies are presented.     

Control of observations over random processes fluxes

The construction of the iteration procedure for synthesizing the law of control of observation over the processes, appeared one after another according to random flux regularities, is considered. The general approach to solution of the problem and the approximate algorithm for synthesizing the law of observations control are given for the case of a simple Poissonian flux. The example is presented in the paper.     

Local optimization of trajectory control of observations for mobile digital direction-finder in the location of discrete sources of radiation system

The procedure of local optimization of trajectory control of observations is discussed. The solution is obtained in relation to mobile digital direction-finder. The sources of radio emission (SRE), which radiation intensity satisfies to the regularities of the discrete Markov process with two states, as the objects of observation are considered. The sequence of consideration of probabilistic characteristics of the radiation intensity variations in the algorithm of control synthesis is shown. An example is given.

Locally optimal control of observations of Poisson streams of filtered processes

The local optimization problem for observations of Poisson streams of data processes is considered. It is shown that this problem is referred to the class of problems of planning of measurements in joint detection and filtering and is reduced to determining both the best location of control functions on a local interval and their optimal integral activity. An example is presented.     

Application of dynamic invariance of linear filtering algorithms in problems of acoustic-emission monitoring of building structures

Application of dynamic invariance of linear filtering algorithms to solve problems of detecting a process of microcrack multiplication is considered. The results of numerical studies are presented. A synthesized algorithm is approbated on the experimental results of the acoustic-emission monitoring of a loaded material.
