Using a cross-correlation frequency-resolved optical gating apparatus, the phases and amplitudes of ultrabroad-band optical pulses from a taper fiber have been measured for various input pulse peak powers. The measured waveforms have been compared with calculated waveforms using a finite-difference in the frequency domain method, in which no envelope approximations were used and the variation of the taper shape was taken into account. Excellent agreement between the measured and the calculated waveforms was obtained when the additional dispersion of a normal fiber and an objective was considered. 相似文献

Multielement analysis was performed on human milk collected on 5-9-d postpartum from 51 Japanese females using inductively coupled plasma (ICP) mass spectrometry (MS), ICP atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) and fluorometry. Thirty-one elements were detected by these analytical methods in milk. Twelve elements (Na, Mg, P, S, K, Ca, Cu, Zn, Se, Sr, Rb, and Mo) were detected in all of the samples. Al, Cs, and Ba were the elements detected by ICP-MS in more than half of the samples. Multiple regression analysis extracted biological attributes of mother and infant, such as maternal stature, maternal wt, or infant's birth wt, as statistically significant factors contributing to the variation in elemental concentration in milk. However, the rates of contribution were small in all cases. It was concluded that the biological attributes of mother and infant examined in this study were not the major factors that contribute to elemental variation in human milk. 相似文献

Low-temperature gallium arsenide (LT-GaAs) films were grown by the method of molecularbeam epitaxy (MBE) at a reduced temperature (230°C) on GaAs(100) substrates and subjected to postgrowth annealing in various regimes. Photoconductive antennas (PCAs) with flag geometry formed on the film surface were characterized by terahertz (THz) response power at various bias voltages. The method of THz spectroscopy was used to study the characteristics of PCAs based on LT-GaAs films annealed in various regimes and the optimum interval of postgrowth annealing temperatures (670–720°C) was established. 相似文献

A design for a high-sensitivity photodetector with a single layer of MoS2 transition-metal dichalcogenide used as the basic functional element is proposed and the process of its fabrication is presented step by step. Quality evaluation and the selection of functional MoS2 flakes is based on the results of combined optical characterization. The main operating characteristics of the fabricated device are investigated and a photosensitivity of 1.4 mA/W is demonstrated. Subcortical damage in neonates often has more severe consequences than in adults. Unilateral electrolytic hippocampal lesions in adult rats typically result in transient memory deficits, whereas neonatal lesions cause lasting memory impairments. We hypothesized that unilateral lesions made at birth may affect synaptic physiology in the contralateral hippocampus. Consequently, the ability to sustain long-term potentiation (LTP), a form of synaptic plasticity believed to underlie certain forms of memory, was compared between slices from the remaining hippocampus of rats lesioned as newborns and as adults. Initial studies showed that a train of 10 stimulation bursts patterned after the hippocampal theta rhythm produced robust and stable LTP both in slices from controls and rats lesioned at birth. However, a theta burst pattern of stimulation closer to intrinsic physiology (five burst pairs separated by 30 s each), induced significantly less LTP in slices from rats lesioned at birth compared to those from controls and rats lesioned as adults. To investigate possible mechanisms underlying the deficit, the degree of paired-pulse facilitation (PPF) as well as the amount of depolarization occurring between two successive theta bursts were analyzed. The lesion did not detectably change PPF characteristics, suggesting that presynaptic mechanisms are normal. However, the extent to which a burst response was increased by a prior burst was significantly diminished in slices from rats lesioned at birth compared to those from controls and rats lesioned as adults, indicating that postsynaptic factors involved in the initial triggering events of LTP are affected by the lesion. Reduced ability to sustain LTP in the remaining hippocampus may contribute to impaired memory function after unilateral neonatal hippocampal lesion. 相似文献

The development of intelligent manufacturing by using machine tools is advancing in leaps and bounds. To maintain accuracy in machining and in the interests of fail-safe operation, monitoring of the cutting state or the final machining is very important. Acoustic emissions (AE) comprise elastic stress waves produced as a result of the deformation and fracture of materials. By measuring the AE generated during a turning process, it is possible to estimate the state of the machining operation. The correlation between cutting phenomena and AE in a turning process was examined experimentally by using a steel workpiece and a cermet tool in a numerically controlled turning process. The process of formation of chips, the types of chip, and the shear angle all markedly affected the AE signals. There was a strong negative correlation between the shear angle and the AE signal level. Similar results were obtained for various feed rates and for workpieces of various degrees of hardness. Correlations related to surface roughness and to tool wear are also described that permit the evaluation of the state of the turning process. 相似文献

In this study, we are interested in the anti-wear properties of zinc dialkyl phosphate additive (ZP) in comparison with ‘classical’ zinc dialkyldithiophosphate (ZDDP). Friction tests were performed on a reciprocating tribometer using both ball-on-flat and cylinder-on-flat configurations
under a Hertzian contact pressure of 0.9 GPa. Experiments were carried out as a function of temperature (25 and 100 °C), sliding
speed (25, 50 and 100 mm/s) and additives concentrations. Ball wear scar diameters as well as friction coefficient were measured.
In order to better understand the anti-wear mechanisms of these additives, friction tests were followed by surface analyses
such as AES (Auger Electron Spectroscopy) and XPS (X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy). Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)

Time-alternating method based on single-sideband holography with half-zone-plate processing for the enlargement of viewing zones 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The single-sideband method of holography, as is well known, cuts off beams that come from conjugate images for holograms produced in the Fraunhofer region and from objects with no phase components. The single-sideband method with half-zone-plate processing is also effective in the Fresnel region for beams from an object that has phase components. However, this method restricts the viewing zone to a narrow range. We propose a method to improve this restriction by time-alternating switching of hologram patterns and a spatial filter set on the focal plane of a reconstruction lens. 相似文献
