Power line communication (PLC) is a communications method where signals are carried across already existing power lines, rather than through other mediums such as optical fibers or radio waves. PLC has been a very important interdiscipline topic for power, communications, industrial, and automation engineers and researchers since the 1980s. Designing and planning optimized or standard PLC systems require information and data regarding signal attenuations, load variations, and communication performance for various locations of the world which have different power networks. In this study, PLC system is modeled by ABCD matrix and simulated via electronics workbench. In order to obtain data from Turkey's power lines, signal measurements at the frequencies of 50-200 kHz are carried out. The effects of load, frequency, line length, and the distribution transformers are examined. The properties of home appliances used in an average Turkish household are experimentally determined. System performance in terms of the bit error probability are calculated for FSK modulation. 相似文献

Power line communications (PLC) presents an interesting and economical solution for automatic meter reading (AMR). If an AMR system via PLC is set in a power delivery system, a detection system for illegal electricity usage may be easily added in the existing PLC network. In the detection system, the second digitally energy meter chip is used and the value of energy is stored. The recorded energy is compared with the value at the main kilowatthour meter. In the case of the difference between two recorded energy data, an error signal is generated and transmitted via PLC network. The detector and control system is proposed. The architecture of the system and their critical components are given. The measurement results obtained from Turkey's power lines are given. This paper describes a prototype of the detector system for illegal electricity usage using the power lines. The target of this study is to discover new and possible solutions for the lack of literature concerning this problem. 相似文献

A patient with end-stage renal disease presented with reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome (RSDS) on her left hand 1 month after arteriovenous fistula (AVF) surgery. Magnetic resonance angiography revealed steal syndrome at the AVF level. Bone scintigraphy revealed early-stage RSDS. We considered that arterial insufficiency because of steal phenomenon following AVF surgery and underlying occlusive arterial disease triggered RSDS development. 相似文献

Acidogenic fermentation of organic municipal solid waste (MSW) and the bio-electricity production potential from its volatile fatty acid (VFA)-rich leachate using an air-cathode microbial fuel cell (MFC) was investigated in this study. The acidogenic fermentation of 2 kg of MSW has been carried out in a 6 L anaerobic leach-bed reactor (LBR) under mesophilic conditions (30 degrees C). Total production of 92 g VFA expressed as chemical oxygen demand (COD) in 3 L leachate mainly containing acetic, propionic, butyric, and valeric acids has been achieved with manual leachate recirculation and without pH control in 74 days of incubation. Leachate collected on day 32 was used as a feed to an air-cathode MFC after being diluted and supplemented with NaCl or NaHCO3. The maximum power density in the diluted leachate was only 5.9 W/m3, but reached up to 8.6 W/m3 upon the addition of 7 mmol/L NaCl. Increase in coulombic efficiency from 6 to 22% was also observed as a result of NaCl supplementation. On the other hand, NaHCO3 addition did not improve the power output. 相似文献

The layer 1 virtual private network framework has emerged from the need to enable the dynamic coexistence of multiple circuit-switched client networks over a common physical network infrastructure. Such a VPN could be set up for an enterprise with offices across a wide geographical area (e.g., around the world or by a global ISP). Additionally, emerging IP over optical WDM technologies let IP traffic be carried directly over the optical WDM layer. Thus, different VPNs can share a common optical WDM core, and may demand different amounts of bandwidth at different time periods. This type of operation would require dynamic and reconfigurable allocation of bandwidth. This article evaluates the state of the art in layer 1 VPNs in the context of globally deployable optical networks and cost-efficient dynamic bandwidth usage. While exploiting the dynamism of IP traffic in a global network in which the nodes are located in different time zones, we study different bandwidth allocation methods for setting up a worldwide layer 1 VPN. In metal cutting, the problems need to be well analyzed in order to take precautions before any unexpected results are encountered. This process plays a significant role in achieving consistent quality and in controlling the overall cost of manufacturing. However, it is a difficult task that needs an expert who has a great deal of information and experience in metal cutting. In the present paper, a knowledge-based expert system (COROSolve) that investigates problems that are encountered in three main metal cutting areas: turning, milling and drilling is developed. A great deal of metal cutting operations such as external/internal turning with negative/positive inserts, aluminum turning, parting bars/tubes, grooving, profiling, recessing and threading operations in turning; face milling, square shoulder milling, end milling, multi-purpose milling and side and face milling operations in milling; and drilling operations that use solid drills or drills with indexable inserts in drilling are taken into consideration. COROSolve gives recommendations for the cutting data (i.e., cutting speed, depth of cut, and feed) and updates the problem, cause and remedy database, thus the number of problems that the system can handle is increased. 相似文献

The extensor indicis and the extensor pollicis longus muscles differentiates from the extensor digitorum profundus muscle. The extensor indicis muscle is an unstable muscle concerning its variations. Kosugi (1989) found the frequency of variations of this muscle to be 20% and described 18 different types of variations of this muscle. This study describes a rare case of the extensor indicis muscle. The extensor indicis muscle develops an accessory tendon in between the extensor indicis and extensor pollicis longus muscle. It passes under the extensor retinaculum. At the level of 2nd metacarpal bone, the accessory extensor indicis tendon is connected to the tendon of the extensor pollicis longus muscle by a intertendinous connection. 相似文献
