A new regular ABA-type triblock copolymer has been synthesized by polycondensation of the acid chloride of carboxy-terminated butadience-acrylonitrile rubber (CTBN) with hydroxyterminated polyethylene isophthalate (PEI) oligomer. This block copolymer was characterized by elemental (nitrogen) analysis, vapor pressure osmometry, viscometry, and IR and NMR spectroscopy. Quantitative estimation of block segments has been carried out by measuring the area under peaks assigned to various protons in the NMR spectrum of the polymer. NMR spectral analysis has been found to agree well with the nitrogen analysis of the polymer. The solubility and solution viscosity behavior of the polymer has also been studied.  相似文献

Synchronization of a self-excited dust density wave has been experimentally investigated in a strongly coupled dusty plasma. A dust density wave of frequency ~78 Hz is spontaneously generated from the dust void boundary due to the ion streaming instability. The electric field in the dust void region is measured, and the electric field force and ion drag force on the dust particles at the void boundary are estimated to explain the mechanism of spontaneous dust density wave excitation. Synchronization occurring through the suppression mechanism is observed by modulating the ion streaming by applying an external sinusoidal signal to the dust void. At sufficiently high modulation amplitude, the onset of period-doubling bifurcation is observed. Fast Fourier transform spectral analysis is done using time-series data obtained from high-speed video imaging. The van der Pol equation with a force term is used to correlate the observed suppression phenomena.  相似文献

This study investigates the performance of an adsorption chiller driven by thermal heat collected from solar collectors’ panels with heat storage. The heat is reserved in a storage tank and the reserved heat is used to drive the adsorption chiller. The investigation was carried on the climatic conditions of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Heat transfer fluid goes from the collectors to the adsorption cooling unit, then from the adsorption cooling unit to the storage tank. It is seen that heat storage is more effective than direct solar coupling; however, it requires more collectors, depending on the size of the storage tank. The analysis shows that cycle time is one of the most influential parameters for the solar-driven adsorption cooling system. It is seen that the size of the collector can be reduced if the proper cycle time is adjusted. The analysis also revealed that the system with 22 collectors (each of 2.415 m2) along with 1000 s cycle time provides better performance for the base run conditions. It is also seen that the solar-driven adsorption chiller with heat storage works well beyond the sunset time.  相似文献

Quality Assessment of Mine Water in the Raniganj Coalfield Area,India   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In a qualitative assessment of mine water from the Raniganj coalfield, 77 mine water samples were analyzed to assess water quality and suitability for domestic, industrial, and irrigation uses. The pH of the mine water ranged from 6.5 to 8.8. Total dissolved solids (TDS) ranged from 171 to 1,626 mg L−1; spatial differences between the TDS values reflect variations in lithology, activities, and prevailing hydrological regime. The anion chemistry was dominated by HCO3 and SO4 2−. On average, Cl contributes 10 and 19% of the total anionic balance, respectively, in the Barakar and Raniganj Formation mine water. F and NO3 contribute <2% to the total anions. The cation chemistry is dominated by Mg2+ and Ca2+ in the mine water of the Barakar Formation and Na+ in the Raniganj Formation mines. Much of the mine water, especially of the Barakar Formation area, has high TDS, total hardness, and SO4 concentrations. Concentrations of some trace metals (i.e. Fe, Cr, Ni) were found to be above the levels recommended for drinking water. However, the mine water can be used for irrigation, except at some sites, especially in the Raniganj Formation area, where high salinity, sodium adsorption ratio, %Na, residual sodium carbonate, and excess Mg restrict its suitability for agricultural uses.  相似文献

Glass fiber reinforced polymeric (GFRP) composites are being accepted as potential materials for ultra‐low temperature applications. The current investigation is to evaluate effect of liquid nitrogen (LN2) conditioning (for different intervals of time) on the loading rate sensitivity of tensile response of GFRP composites. In order to assess this, tensile tests of the unconditioned and conditioned specimens were carried out at different crosshead speeds viz. 1, 10, 100, 500, and 1000 mm/min. At 1 mm/min crosshead speed, an improvement of 3.33% and 7.3% ultimate tensile strength (UTS) value was observed in case of 0.25 and 1 h conditioned GFRP composites, respectively, as compared to unconditioned GFRP composites. Similarly, the specimens tested at 1000 mm/min show an improvement of 11.39% and 12.02% UTS for 0.25 and 1 h LN2 conditioned GFRP composites, respectively, as compared to unconditioned GFRP composites. Effect of LN2 conditioning on crosshead speed sensitivity of modulus and strain at break are also reported. The in‐service temperature of the GFRP composite was measured using temperature modulated differential scanning calorimetry. Furthermore, dynamic mechanical thermal analyzer was used in the temperature range (40–200 °C) to correlate the mechanical and thermomechanical response of the GFRP composites. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The present work demonstrates the immobilization of phospholipids and phospholipids-protein vesicles on solid substrate by simple drop-cast technique. We have also studied the structural and conformational transition of protein (OVA) molecules when they are loaded in immobilized vesicles of DPPC. High-resolution FE-SEM imaging is used to study the structural aspects of the immobilized vesicles of DPPC and OVA loaded DPPC. FTIR analyses of amide bands are being used to inspect the extent of the conformational transitions of β-sheet to α-helix of OVA in immobilized DPPC vesicles. Immobilized OVA-DPPC vesicles provide the structure of individual OVA molecule attached with DPPC, without aggregation amongst them.  相似文献

This paper presents the transient behavior of a three-phase star connected self-excited induction generator (SEIG) using three capacitors connected in series and parallel with a single-phase load. The voltage regulation of this generator is very small due to the effect of three capacitors. The dynamic model of the above generator has been developed based on stationary reference frame dq-axes theory incorporating the effect of cross-saturation. The steady-state model of the scheme has also been developed. The simulated results of both the transient analysis for the different dynamic conditions, such as initiation of self-excitation, load perturbation and short-circuit and the steady-state analysis are compared with the experimental results. Both the simulated and experimental results are in close agreement with each other.  相似文献

Lamina-associated polypeptide (LAP)2, which directly interacts with B-type lamins and chromosomes, is an integral membrane protein specifically distributed along the inner nuclear membrane of the nuclear envelope. Multiple regions of its large nucleoplasmic domain promote this localization, including the first (residues 1-296) and the second (residues 298-409) halves of the LAP2 N terminus. The second half is involved in LAP2 association with the nuclear lamina [Furukawa, K., Panté, N., Aebi, U. & Gerace, L. (1995) EMBO J. 14, 1626-1636]. In this study to further define its role, we examined which domain of B-type lamin interacts with LAP2 by means of a binding assay with bacterially expressed proteins and a yeast two-hybrid system. We found that amino acids in the region of residues 78-258 of the lamin B1 rod domain directly bound with LAP2. The data suggest that LAP2 may modulate the assembly of nuclear lamins.  相似文献
