A method to estimate the local partial pressures and temperature during low pressure chemical vapor deposition (LPCVD) proceses using film profile data is demonstrated using the chemistry of blanket tungsten deposition by the hydrogen reduction of tungsten hexafluoride. EVREST, the computer program which performs the estimates, uses EVOLVE, a physically based process simulator for ballistic transport and heterogeneous reactions in features on patterned wafers, to compute film profiles for a given set of deposition conditions. In order to validate the estimation method and to demonstrate EVREST, test calculations are performed using film profiles generated by EVOLVE instead of experimental scanning electron microscopy cross-sections. Calculated films profiles are compared with the generated film profiles (the data) and the simulated deposition conditions are adjusted using an algorithm based on Marquardt's method to minimize the sum of squared differences between points on the calculated and generated profiles. Test calculations confirm that film profiles in more than one feature can be used to improve the reliability of the partial pressure and temperature estimates.  相似文献

Crude wax extracted from rice bran oil (RBO) is used to improve the oleogel properties and oxidative stability of RBO. The effect of crude rice bran wax (CrBW) on the formation characteristics and oxidative stability of oleogels is discussed. The results show that oleogels can be formed with 7.0 wt% CrBW at 20 °C. As the concentration of CrBW increases from 7.0 to 11.0 wt%, the hardness and solid fat content (SFC) of the oleogels increase significantly, and the oleogels are primarily β' crystals. Moreover, oleogel crystals formed with 5 and 7 wt% CrBW are flocculent; when the amount included is 9%, the oleogel crystals are transformed into long dendrites, and the density rises. After 90 days of storage at 20 °C, the peroxide value of oleogels formed with 9.0 wt% CrBW slowly rises from 3.21 to 6.52 mmol kg−1. Practical Applications: Oleogels prepared here by CrBW and RBO are an innovative structural lipid without trans fats. Useful information on the rich fats and nutrients in CrBW is provided, which reduces the production cost and improves the industrial production capacity.  相似文献

Power plants in Kuwait use gas turbines (GT) only for a few hours to produce power at peak load times. Peak loadoccurs in the summer due to the air-conditioning load. As an example, the average number of operating hours for six gas turbines in the Doha East power plant was 16 in the summer of 2001. There is little concern about efficiency of these GT since they work for a very short time during the year. However, a recent increase in desalted seawater demand suggests the use of these GT to operate reverse osmosis (RO) desalting systems all year around. The summer outside design temperature in Kuwait for air-conditioning calculations is 48°C dry bulb temperature (DBT), and 28°C wet bulb temperature (WBT); but the ambient temperature can easily reach 60°C. Gas turbine power output and efficiency are drastically reduced by the increase in temperature of intake air to the gas turbine's compressor, especially during harsh Kuwaiti summer conditions. Thus, it is essential to investigate cooling of air intake to the GT compressor. The performance of a typical GT unit and its ability to produce desalted waterby a RO desalting system at different ambient temperatures are presented. Calculation of needed capacities for the cooling of intake air to the GT compressor was performed for evaporative cooling, single and multiple mechanical vapor compression cycles, and combined indirect evaporation cooling with the refrigeration system. The improvements of power output and efficiency due to the cooling of air intake of the GT and the resulting increase in desalted water are also presented.  相似文献

Bug fixing accounts for a large amount of the software maintenance resources. Generally, bugs are reported, fixed, verified and closed. However, in some cases bugs have to be re-opened. Re-opened bugs increase maintenance costs, degrade the overall user-perceived quality of the software and lead to unnecessary rework by busy practitioners. In this paper, we study and predict re-opened bugs through a case study on three large open source projects—namely Eclipse, Apache and OpenOffice. We structure our study along four dimensions: (1) the work habits dimension (e.g., the weekday on which the bug was initially closed), (2) the bug report dimension (e.g., the component in which the bug was found) (3) the bug fix dimension (e.g., the amount of time it took to perform the initial fix) and (4) the team dimension (e.g., the experience of the bug fixer). We build decision trees using the aforementioned factors that aim to predict re-opened bugs. We perform top node analysis to determine which factors are the most important indicators of whether or not a bug will be re-opened. Our study shows that the comment text and last status of the bug when it is initially closed are the most important factors related to whether or not a bug will be re-opened. Using a combination of these dimensions, we can build explainable prediction models that can achieve a precision between 52.1–78.6 % and a recall in the range of 70.5–94.1 % when predicting whether a bug will be re-opened. We find that the factors that best indicate which bugs might be re-opened vary based on the project. The comment text is the most important factor for the Eclipse and OpenOffice projects, while the last status is the most important one for Apache. These factors should be closely examined in order to reduce maintenance cost due to re-opened bugs.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider randomly failing equipment leased several times during their life cycle with a given warranty period. A mathematical model is developed to determine the optimal efficiency levels of preventive maintenance (PM) to be performed on the equipment between successive lease periods, maximising the expected total profit of the lessor over the equipment life cycle. The model considers the expected leasing revenue as well as the equipment acquisition cost and the average PM and repair costs. PM actions allow reducing the age of the equipment to a certain extent with a corresponding cost depending on the PM level adopted. The efficiency of the PM is determinant of the expected revenue during the next lease period. Given a set of K possible PM levels and the number of lease periods n over the equipment life cycle, Kn?1 PM strategies are possible. A genetic algorithm is proposed in order to obtain nearly optimal policies in situations where the number of possibilities Kn?1 is very high. Obtained numerical results are discussed. Small- and big-size instances of the problem are considered in the case of a service company in the oil and gas industry specialised in leasing specific equipment such as separators, to oil companies for production activities with a limited duration of several months like well testing or short production tests.  相似文献

The effect of the total water content on the persistence and rate of direct heterogeneous electron transfer between the imidazole complex of microperoxidase-11 (im-MP-11) and naked gold, platinum, and glassy carbon (GC) in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) solutions containing 0.1 M tetra-n-butylammonium perchlorate was investigated using cyclic voltammetry. Electron transfer between im-MP-11 and Au, Pt, and GC has been found to be persistent for more than 1 h and at least quasi-reversible [k(s)' = (8.7 ± 0.1) × 10(-4) cm/s (Au), k(s)' = (7.2 ± 1.3) × 10(-4) cm/s (Pt), and k(s)' = (5.7 ± 1.0) × 10(-4) cm/s (GC)] in dimethyl sulfoxide containing an absolute water content between 0.1 and 1.8%. The heterogeneous electron transfer rate constant is independent of the total water content of the DMSO solution when between 0.1 and 1.8% water is present.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a new sufficient condition for absolute stability of Lure system with two additive time-varying delay components. This criterion is expressed as a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which can be readily tested by using standard numerical software. We use this new criterion to stabilize a class of nonlinear time-delay systems. Some numerical examples are given to illustrate the applicability of the results using standard numerical software.  相似文献

In this paper, we focus on the perimeter detection problem using wireless sensor networks, as perimeter detection has a wide range of uses in several areas. We present a decentralized localized algorithm where sensor nodes determine if they are located along the perimeter of a wireless sensor network. Our proposed algorithm uses the location neighborhood information in conjunction with the Barycentric technique to determine if the sensor node enclosed by neighboring nodes, and consequently, if it is located within the interior of the wireless sensor network. We define performance metrics to analyze the performance of our approach and the simulation shows that the algorithm gives fairly accurate results.  相似文献
