The bulk elastic and piezoelectric properties of potassium titanyl phosphate (KTP) and some of its family members such as RbTiOPO(4 ) (RTP) and RbTiOAsO(4) (RTA) have been determined. The piezoelectric, elastic, and dielectric matrix (P-E-D) of KTP has been completely characterized. Values for the temperature dependence of the expansion coefficients and elastic constants have been obtained, and the effects of variations in dielectric constant on coupling coefficient determined. The major diagonal elements of the piezoelectric and elastic matrices of RTP and RTA were measured as were the thermal expansion coefficient of all the KTP isomorphs, KTP in the temperature range 25-80 degrees C, is shown to have a combination of large coupling coefficients (up to k(t)=38% for hydrothermally grown KTP) and medium temperature dependence coefficients of elastic constant (as low as 40 p.p.m./ degrees C for tau(c33) for hydrothermally grown KTP) that makes it attractive for many piezoelectric applications.  相似文献

Chirp filtering in the fractional Fourier domain   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
In the Wigner domain of a one-dimensional function, a certain chirp term represents a rotated line delta function. On the other hand, a fractional Fourier transform (FRT) can be associated with a rotation of the Wigner-distribution function by an angle connected with the FRT order. Thus with the FRT tool a chirp and a delta function can be transformed one into the other. Taking the chirp as additive noise, the FRT is used for filtering the line delta function in the appropriate fractional Fourier domain. Experimental filtering results for a Gaussian input function, which is modulated by an additive chirp noise, are shown. Excellent agreement between experiments and computer simulations is achieved.  相似文献

Quantitative error analyses for the simulation of wave propagation in three-dimensional random media, when narrow angular scattering is assumed, are presented for plane-wave and spherical-wave geometry. This includes the errors that result from finite grid size, finite simulation dimensions, and the separation of the two-dimensional screens along the propagation direction. Simple error scalings are determined for power-law spectra of the random refractive indices of the media. The effects of a finite inner scale are also considered. The spatial spectra of the intensity errors are calculated and compared with the spatial spectra of intensity. The numerical requirements for a simulation of given accuracy are determined for realizations of the field. The numerical requirements for accurate estimation of higher moments of the field are less stringent.  相似文献

We report the implementation of a liquid crystal-on-silicon, three-dimensional (3-D) diffractive display based on the partial pixel architecture. The display generates multiple stereoscopic images that are perceived as a static 3-D scene with one-dimensional motion parallax in a manner that is functionally equivalent to a holographic stereogram. The images are created with diffraction gratings formed in a thin liquid crystal layer by fringing electric fields from transparent indium tin oxide interdigitated electrodes. The electrodes are controlled by an external drive signal that permits the 3-D scene to be turned on and off. The display has a contrast ratio of 5.8, which is limited principally by optical scatter caused by extraneous fringing fields. These scatter sources can be readily eliminated. The display reported herein is the first step toward a real-time partial pixel architecture display in which large numbers of dynamic gratings are independently controlled by underlying silicon drive circuitry.  相似文献
