A micromechanics model is proposed to analyse residual stresses and deformations that develop in short-fibre composites upon an applied uniform temperature change. The model is based on Eshelby's equivalent inclusion method and treats the interaction among fibres at finite volume fractions through the Mori-Tanaka mean field theory. The model treats the matrix as an elastic/plastic material while the fibre is elastic and is able to account for the effects of the composite microgeometry. To this end, the effects of misoriented short fibres, the orientation of which is described by a density distribution function, are considered. Numerical results obtained from the proposed model indicate that the misorientation of short fibres has a significant effect on both the stress and deformation behaviour of short-fibre composites. 相似文献

A fluorescent converter for fast neutron radiography (FNR) comprising a scintillator and hydrogen-rich resin has been developed and applied to electronic imaging. The rate of the reaction between fast neutrons and the converter is increased by thickening the converter, but its opaqueness attenuates emitted light photons before they reach its surface. To improve the luminosity of a fluorescent converter for FNR, a novel type of converter was designed in which wavelength-shifting fibers were adopted to transport radiated light to the observation end face. The performance of the converter was compared with that of a polypropylene-based fluorescent converter in an experiment conducted at the fast-neutron-source reactor YAYOI in the University of Tokyo. 相似文献

Power system control equipment needs higher sensitivity and operational reliability. Advanced voltage control equipment is needed for reducing the frequency of tap changes and improving the characteristics (the relationship between the actual voltage and reference voltage) of the voltage to meet today's power system requirements. However, these objectives are in a trade-off relationship. Studies of voltage control derived from a knowledge base suitable for electric power systems can satisfy these objectives using fuzzy inference. Compared with corresponding conventional equipment, the new equipment improved the deviation of 30 min average voltage of 30 percent. This paper describes the design concept of new voltage control equipment using fuzzy inference. In addition, field test results are described along with rules of fuzzy inference, membership functions, and the deviation of 30 min average voltage through detailed simulation. 相似文献

For the effective use of short-lived radioactive beams, soon to be available at the Tokai Radioactive Ion Accelerator Complex, the authors have developed a radiotracer method for diffusion studies in solids. The experimental test was performed by the measurement of the diffusion coefficients of Li in a sample of the compound βLiAl using an α-emitting radiotracer of 8Li (T1/2=0.84 s). It was found that the time-dependent yields of the α particles from the diffusing 8Li that was initially implanted in the sample could be used as a measure of the diffusivity of the tracer in a nondestructive way. The method was applied to measure the self-diffusion coefficients of Li in βLiGa, and for investigating how the Li diffusion in the Li ionic conductors is affected by the concentration of atomic defects (i.e., the existence of the atomic vacancies of Li and the defects in Ga sites that are replaced by Li). 相似文献

by four opener oligomers, and that hairpin opening was dependent on the proper openers added in the correct order. Quantitative

In this paper, we propose a face identification system based on the Mahalanobis–Taguchi System (MTS). The MTS is one of the pattern recognition methods frequently used in quality engineering, and can perform robust pattern recognition by using training data, including noise. It is likely that this advantage will allow the effective implementation of a robust face identification system against lighting and face position fluctuations. Moreover, the MTS can optimize the number of attributes required for identification by using the orthogonal array and the signal/noise (SN) ratio. The face identification system has to deal with many users and the amount of data in a facial image is large. Therefore, the time required for identification can be decreased and the amount of data in the facial image database can be reduced by performing the optimization. We confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed system through practical experiments. The experimental results revealed that the MTS was an effective method for robust face identification, and could effectively reduce the number of attributes required for identification. 相似文献

This paper proposes the Lagrange multiplier (LM) test, or the score test, for jumps in the stochastic volatility (SV) model in the cases where the innovation term follows the normal and Student t-distributions. The tested null hypothesis is that the jump density has zero variance, which is expressed by Dirac’s delta function. It is shown that the unknown jump probability, which is an unidentified parameter under the null hypothesis, is cancelled out in the LM test statistic, and hence this test is free from the estimation problem of unidentified parameters, which is known as the Davies problem [R.B. Davies, Hypothesis testing when a nuisance parameter is present only under the alternative, Biometrika 64 (1977) 247–254]. Monte Carlo experiments show that the null distribution of the LM test statistic can be approximated by the normal distribution with sufficient accuracy. 相似文献

We propose an axiomatization of fixpoint operators in typed call-by-value programming languages, and give its justifications in two ways. First, it is shown to be sound and complete for the notion of uniform T-fixpoint operators of Simpson and Plotkin. Second, the axioms precisely account for Filinski's fixpoint operator derived from an iterator (infinite loop constructor) in the presence of first-class continuations, provided that we define the uniformity principle on such an iterator via a notion of effect-freeness (centrality). Blimp robots are attractive as indoor flying robots because they can float in the air, land safely with low energy, and stay
in motion for a long time compared with other flying robots. However, controlling blimp robots is difficult because they have
nonlinear characteristics, are influenced by air streams, and can easily be influenced by inertia. Therefore, a robust and
adaptive control system is needed for blimp robots. The applied research that has studied the features of indoor flying robots
in recent years has prospered. Operating an indoor blimp robot for a long time is difficult because the payload is small,
multiple batteries cannot be stacked, and the design of a thruster that gives freedom to the entire blimp robot is difficult.
Therefore, an autonomous charge that allows operation for a long time is needed. We have developed a method of landing with
orbital control of the charge point that gives autonomy to a blimp robot. The possibility of landing with orbital control
is shown.

Mild and simple catalytic systems consisting of molybdenum(VI) dichloride dioxide [MoO2Cl2] as a catalyst and a phosphine as reductant have been developed for the stereospecific deoxygenation of epoxides to alkenes. The reactions using 1,2‐bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (dppe) and triphenylphosphine (PPh3) proceed with retention and inversion of stereochemistry, respectively. The mild reaction tolerates the presence of various functional groups and affords stereodefined substituted olefins in good yields.
